As part of Record Store Day on Saturday (April 12), new music from the late country legend Patsy Cline was released on a limited-edition two-LP set titled, Imagine That: The Lost Recordings (1954-1963). The collection features 48 tracks extracted from live performances from throughout Cline’s extraordinary career, including 15 never-before-released songs alongside reimagined versions of her classic hits like “Crazy” and “I Fall to Pieces.” Discographer George Hewitt, who co-produced the album, describes the project as a dream come true that will thrill Cline’s devoted fan base. Cline’s daughter Julie Fudge, who was only 4 when her mom died in a plane crash in 1963, says, “The fact that it’s been more than 60 years and to still have her in our lives every day is quite an accomplishment. It’s been such a blessing.” The compilation features a treasure trove of unearthed recordings that include Cline’s first demos, unreleased Christmas tracks, unheard collaborations, and rare recordings from the Grand Ole Opry archives.
