Following his controversial early exit from Saturday Night Live this past weekend, Morgan Wallen has shifted his focus back on his music. On Monday (March 31), the country superstar shared a teaser on Instagram for his new song, “Come Back As A Redneck,” which will be included on Wallen’s highly-anticipated new album, I’m The Problem, due out on May 16.  The preview video features Wallen taking target practice at an outdoor shooting range and driving a four-wheeler in the woods, while the track’s lyrics address rural versus urban tensions, which Morgan quoted in the post’s caption, “Maybe then you’ll understand.” Wallen’s SNL performance revealed several song titles from his upcoming album on the screen of a retro TV behind him on stage. “Come Back as a Redneck” was listed as track “No. 21: ‘Come Back as a Redneck’ (feat. ______),” suggesting that the song will  involve an unnamed collaboration. Wallen is nominated for seven awards at the ACM Awards on May 8, including Entertainer of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, and Artist-Songwriter of the Year. (Billboard)
