Musicians from Los Angeles’ country music scene are sharing live recordings for a new benefit album titled, Back in the Garage – Los Angeles Fire Relief Compilation. Sadly, many of these participating artists, including Jonny Fritz, Darlin Brando, Harrison Whitford, Mason Stoops, and Cooper Kenward, have also been displaced by the wildfires. All proceeds from the album – featuring live performances recorded in the L.A. garage of brothers Luke and Tristan Pelletier – will be split evenly between MusiCares and the Pasadena Humane Society. “It’s been so hard watching our friends lose so much and watch parts of our city washed away in flames,” Luke Pelletier says. “These recordings have become an archive of what was happening in L.A. from 2021 – 2025. And in these times, with so much loss, this document of art that happened in Los Angeles feels extra valuable.” Back in the Garage is available on Bandcamp as a digital download and as a 4LP vinyl set.
