CARRIE UNDERWOOD was the big winner at last night’s “CMT Music Awards”. “Something In The Water” won Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year . . . and her duet with MIRANDA LAMBERT on “Somethin’ Bad” took home the buckle for Collaborative Video of the Year. The big musical opening featured LADY ANTEBELLUM and electronic dance music artist ZEDD. They did a mashup of Lady A’s “Long Stretch of Love” and Zedd’s “Beautiful Now”. The CMTs are more about performances than awards. It’s been 10 years since REBA MCENTIRE performed on the CMTs and she rocked her song “Going Out Like That”. ZAC BROWN BAND performed “Homegrown” and it was solid. ERIC CHURCH did a stripped-down performance of “Like A Wrecking Ball”. The most entertaining performance of the night was JAKE OWEN who was lowered to the stage on an inflatable mattress to perform “Real Life”. “Life & Style” magazine says MILEY CYRUS is getting dangerously thin. She’s 5-foot-5 and should weigh between 119 and 149 pounds. But she’s down to 99 pounds, because she goes days without eating any, quote, “real, solid food.” Instead she just downs Twix bars and jelly beans.
A girl named Kelly Marcel wrote the screenplay for the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie, but she’s so upset by the finished product that she won’t watch it. She says, “My heart really was broken by that process . . . just don’t feel like I can watch it without feeling some pain about how different it is to what I initially wrote.”
GEORGE CLOONEY’s “Tomorrowland” could lose up to $140 million for Disney. The movie cost $180 million to make, and another $150 million to market. So far, it’s only made $169.9 million worldwide.
RAVEN-SYMONE is officially replacing ROSIE O’DONNELL on “The View” as a full-time co-host. They announced it on yesterday’s show. She’s already guest-hosted the show 37 times.
