SOS overtakes Adele’s 21, which spent a cumulative 84 weeks in the Top 10, with its final week in 2016. Both albums had long runs at No. 1, with SOS spending 12 weeks at the top, and 21 topping the charts for 24 weeks (a record among albums by women).
SOS ties Peter, Paul and Mary‘s self-titled album for the third-most weeks in the Top 10 among albums by singular artists, following two albums by Morgan Wallen, Dangerous: The Double Album (158 weeks), and One Thing At A Time (106 weeks). The album with the most weeks spent in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 is the Original Cast Recording of My Fair Lady, which spent 173 weeks in the Top 10 between 1956-60. (Billboard)
