Chris Stapleton almost pursued a career in engineering before discovering his passion for songwriting and music. In a revealing 2022 60 Minutes interview that has just resurfaced on TikTok, Stapleton shared his journey from studying biomedical engineering to exploring a career in songwriting, which he was surprised to learn was something he could do for a living. “I didn’t even know it was a thing,” Stapleton confessed. “I just assumed when people sang songs on records that they made it up. Stapleton made his solo debut in 2015 with Traveller, and has gone on to win five Grammys and a total of 19 CMAs, while redefining the sound of modern country in the process. (All Country News)
