Meghan Markle is accused of ripping off Pamela Anderson.  People are saying her new Netflix show “With Love, Meghan” is too similar to Pam’s show, “Pamela’s Cooking with Love”

Jon Stewart cut his hand on “The Daily Show” last night, when he smashed a mug on his desk during a rant about prescription drug prices.  He did the rest of the show, though.  There’s no word if he needed medical attention.

The main “Friends” cast chose not to participate in Peacock’s new documentary, “Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy”.  But there is an appearance from Morgan Fairchild, who played Chandler’s mom.

Everyone’s waiting for Morgan Wallen’s new album, “I’m the Problem” to drop.  He’s always been pretty secretive, so we don’t know when the album will be released . . . but he just previewed a brand new song on his Instagram that’s sure to make the cut. It’s called “Superman” and it’s the first song he’s put out about his 4 year old son Indigo. Morgan’s caption for the song read, “Been trying for a long time to write a song I loved to my son.  None of them ever feel good enough because of how perfect I want something like this to be.  And not saying this is perfect, but I am very proud of it.” He released almost three minutes’ worth. The first lyrics are, “One day he’s gonna see my mug shot, from a night that I got a little too drunk.”

Trends in the country music world that some people would like to see come to an end.

1.  Bookend choruses.  That’s where the first phrase of the chorus is repeated at the end.  Like in Morgan Wallen’s “Love Somebody” . . . Lainey Wilson’s “4X4XU” . . . and “Liar” by Jelly Roll.  Lazy songwriting?

2.  Stripped down production.  Ever since artists like Zach Bryan and Oliver Anthony, everyone is trying to release raw vocals and a simpler production overall.  Just don’t forget how important mixing is, and tuning your guitar.

3.  Recycled vocabulary.  Like, “neon lights” . . . “cheap red wine” . . . the “bottom of the bottle” . . . “long dirt roads” . . . or comparing your wife to a sunset, etc.

4.  Questionable wordplay.  Songs like “Dirt Cheap” by Cody Johnson have mastered the use of clever wordplay without being hokey.  But other artists could maybe pull back a bit.

5.  Too many callbacks.  Zach Top has the market cornered on throwback ’90s acts.  But now there are a lot of imitators out there.

Miranda Lambert shared a tip the other day on her Instagram.  It was background shots from her music video, “Run”, that just came out . . . and she’s riding her horse named “Cool”. And she says, “My horse riding tip of the day is:  Stay on.”  And it makes sense as she’s riding horseback in Arizona.  I imagine it would be pretty painful to be bucked in the desert. But overall, this is great life advice.  On the horse ride that is life, just STAY ON, man.

Kelsea Ballerini recently found out that a young girl named Avery was using her song, “This Time Last Year”, as the “anthem” for her battle with cancer. Avery’s mom reached out to Kelsea through TikTok, and when Kelsea caught wind of it . . . she wrote a response. Kelsea said, “Sending you so much light and love and strength . . . I’m having the team reach out to set you up [with tickets] for Kansas City . . . if our girl is feeling good enough [to go].”  The show in Kansas City is on April 1st.

Luke Combs and Eric Church’s Concert for Carolina raised $24.5 million for Hurricane Helene victims last fall.  And Luke promised “every single dollar” would be used to help them.  So,  “The Charlotte Observer” just did a big story on how every cent has been accounted for. Half the money went to four nonprofits Luke picked:  Samaritan’s Purse, Eblen Charities, and two different food banks. The other half went to Eric’s nonprofit called Chief Cares to build new homes for people who lost theirs in the storm.  The CEO says the charity received a payment of more than $12 million last month. They used $850,000 of it earlier this month to buy land for 30 to 40 new houses.  They’re expected to be finished sometime this summer.

William Shatner says he’s in talks to return to the “Star Trek” universe as Captain Kirk.

Oprah will tackle menopause on her next TV special.

Colin Farrell says he has “no deep desire” to go through the makeup process necessary to turn him into the Penguin again.

Jason Bateman says “Little House on the Prairie” star Michael Landon was the George Clooney of his day.

Rashida Jones is 49.  “Parks and Recreation”, “The Office”,  She’s the daughter of legendary music producer Quincy Jones and “Mod Squad” star Peggy Lipton.

Chelsea Handler is 50.

Julio Iglesias Jr. is 52.  Julio’s son.  Enrique’s older brother.

Sean Astin is 54.  Bob on “Stranger Things”,

Téa Leoni is 59.

Nancy O’Dell is 59.  “Entertainment Tonight”.

Carrot Top is 60.  Very rich prop comic.  He’s worth $70 million.

Karen Grassle is 83.  Caroline Ingalls on “Little House on the Prairie”.

Sally Jessy Raphael is 90.

Taylor Swift has lost over 144,200 Instagram followers since the Super Bowl.  Travis Kelce, on the other hand, has gained over 12,370. The Wiggles doubled down by putting out TWO new songs with Dolly Parton. The first is called “Friends” and it’s all about making friends.  Solid messaging.  And it’s catchy, too.  And the second…
