Last month, it was rumored that Dierks Bentley might be a future contestant on “Survivor” on CBS. Dierks said, “I actually tried to support a friend of mine here in town, saying she would be a great contestant on ‘Survivor’ . . . But it kind of came back toward me, and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I can’t believe this is a possibility.'” And then he went on to say that his 14-year-old daughter is the one that convinced him that he might have a tough time on the show. He said, “My daughter was like, ‘Dad, you’re a beast when you don’t sleep, and you would probably get canceled. You would probably say something absolutely crazy and get canceled.'”
Should Willie Nelson get the Nobel Peace Prize? John Mellencamp thinks so. He told “Texas Monthly” Willie deserves it for his work with Farm Aid. John and Willie started it with Neil Young in 1985. But he says “it all stems from Willie.” “Neil and I just carry water.” He says he’s always admired Willie’s determination and “ability to keep moving forward” no matter who tries to stop him. No musician has ever won the Nobel Peace Prize, but they’ve been nominated before. Bono made the shortlist in 2006 for his work to help end poverty around the world.
Thomas Rhett posted a clip where he’s singing “After All the Bars Are Closed” . . . while getting the name “Lauren” tattooed on his cheek. He’s not really a tattoo guy, so all signs point to it just being a joke. He wrote in the caption, “They said we needed content.” The other thing is: Your face tattoo might not turn out great if you SANG while they were inking you up.
Lee Child has said that Jack Reacher readers were “right” not to approve of Tom Cruise’s casting in the film franchise. Before Alan Ritchson assumed the role after Cruise played the role in two films: Jack Reacher in 2012 and Jack Reacher: Never Go Back in 2016.
Some book fans didn’t think the Cruise was right for the role due to his height. In Child’s books, Reacher is described as being “extremely tall” (he’s 6ft, 5in), and “extremely broad, long-armed and long-legged”. In real life, Cruise is 5ft, 7in.
