Morgan Wallen took down a record that was held by Garth Brooks, Luke Combs, and himself. Morgan’s song “Lies Lies Lies” just got to #1 on the Hot Country Chart, which made it his FIFTH #1 this year. No one has ever had more in a calendar year. The previous record was FOUR #1s in a year and that was held by Garth, Luke, and Morgan . . . from when he had four #1s last year. “Lies Lies Lies” is Morgan’s first solo number one this year, though. The previous four were all collaborations. In March, he was on top for a week with Thomas Rhett for “Mamaw’s House” . . . In April, he was on top again for a week with Eric Church for “Man Made a Bar” . . .Then he put out “I Had Some Help” with Post Malone, which was #1 for four weeks . . . and he also had his single “Cowgirls”, featuring Ernest, which was #1 for a week, too.
Madonna is considering turning the biopic she’s been working on into a series instead of a movie, but wants fans’ input first. She says she’s been facing challenges from producers and agents to get the film made.
It was just announced that Jamey Johnson was arrested this past weekend in Williamson County, Tennessee– charged with possession of drugs, and speeding. Bail was set at $5,000. The incident is still under investigation. Jamey was just interviewed by Billboard where he talked about fighting sobriety. He said he had his last drink in 2011, and that he “barely survived” addiction. Jamey has not made any statement about the arrest so far.
Some fans figured out that Zach Top was married a while ago, but quietly got divorced. A girl named Amelia apparently made a hard-launch of their relationship on TikTok and revealed that they also got a cute dog together, too. She said that Zach didn’t want the dog at first, but now they’re best friends. So, there it is, folks. Zach Top is off the market.
