Megan Moroney is in the Christmas spirit, even on Halloween. The country star announced on Instagram on Thursday (October 31) that she was releasing a three-song holiday EP called, Blue Christmas… duh, on Friday (November 1). The trio of festive tunes includes two original Moroney songs, “All I Want for Christmas is a Cowboy” and “Christmas Morning,” along with a cover of the holiday classic, “Blue Christmas,” made famous by Elvis Presley on his classic 1957 LP, Elvis’ Christmas Album. In the announcement video, Moroney – decked out in an appropriately blue holiday dress – hangs a Christmas stocking over the fireplace, as the camera zooms in on the three stockings as they spell out “Blue” “Christmas” and “…duh,” while a snippet of Megan’s twangy version of “Blue Christmas” plays. The singer captioned her post, “well since it comes out tonight, i guess now would be a good time to let y’all know I recorded a lil 3 song holiday EP that features 2 original songs & a cover of a classic it’s called “Blue Christmas …duh” 💙😉🥂🩵🎄🎀🎅🏼” (Holler)
