Luke Combs and Eric Church’s benefit show, “Concert for Carolina” had such high demand for tickets, that they decided to livestream the event. Yesterday it was announced that Florida Gators quarterback Graham Mertz tore his ACL on the freshly resodded field during Saturday’s game. So the field had to be fully replaced right after Morgan’s last show ended on September 22nd. The Volunteers, and a company called Carolina Green, got to work fixing the field after all the damage sustained from the concert. Here’s what the Executive Associate Athletic Director had to say prior to the game: “Turf management put in a lot to get it done, there were a lot of early mornings, and late nights . . . And as you see it looks great.” Well, it clearly was not great for Florida’s QB. Also, Tennessee star linebacker Keenan Pili also tore his ACL during the game and is out for the rest of the year. Both of these were NON-CONTACT injuries. And usually that has to do with turf interaction. Fox Sports radio host Davey Hudson let Morgan have it. He said, “Shout out Morgan Wallen. His Neyland concerts only cost two players their final season of college football eligibility due to knee injuries thanks to the new turf.”
Carrie Underwood has tacked on a few more dates to “Reflection” . . . her three-year residency in Las Vegas. But she also says this will be the end. There’s always been a “broad spectrum” of music living under the Country banner. ”If you go back through the decades, there’s always been “a pop side,” “something a little grittier,” and stuff that “meets in the middle.” It’s just “different strokes for different folks.” He noted that even a lot of his own stuff doesn’t fit the cookie-cutter definition of what Country music is, or was.

Three months after Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert got married in August 2023, while they were on their joint Symphony of Dance tour, their lives “came to a screeching halt. Derek was on stage, and Hayley was supposed to come out. The stage manager walked out and just said, ‘Hey, she’s not coming on stage.’ She was on the side of the stage having full seizures and, essentially, dying. Hayley was rushed into the hospital for an emergency cranial hematoma. The doctor said that Hayley might not make it and that even if she does make it, she won’t be the same person. Hayley was “unrecognizable” the next morning and was missing 40% of her skull. She remembered that the pair were dancing before she landed in the hospital, and he felt so relieved he had his wife back. “Afterward, the doctors came up to us and said, ‘Hey Derek, this is a miracle.’ And he said, ‘Yeah it is.’ He said, ‘No Derek, this is a miracle,’” The married duo celebrated her return to the ballroom with an emotional routine last night on“Dancing With the Stars”
