Jelly Roll was asked to perform in a private show for major celebrities like Jimmy Fallon, Jon Hamm, and Bradley Cooper. Jelly said, “I never would have thought my fat, white trash [butt] would be in the Hamptons.  This is an incredible scene.” During the intimate set, he played “Son of a Sinner” . . . “Need a Favor” . . . as well as covers like Garth Brooks’ “Friends in Low Places” . . . and Otis Redding’s “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay”.

Lainey Wilson’s new album “Whirlwind” is out this Friday, and to celebrate, here are some facts about her you might not have known:

1.  When she was 9 years old, her mom bought her a pair of blue, leopard print bellbottoms.  She has joked that since then, quote, “I don’t think anyone’s ever seen my ankles.”

2.  When she was a Hannah Montana impersonator, she would make around $400 a gig.  Sometimes they’d even let her sing original songs, too.

3.  Lainey lived in a camper van when she was first trying to make it in Nashville.  She said when a big storm would come in, she thought she was going to get blown away.

4.  Luke Combs would actually visit Lainey in that trailer.  They wrote Luke’s song “Sheriff You Want To” there with Lainey on backup vocals.

Because at the 2023 ACM Awards, she won an award, and she awkwardly hugged her boyfriend Devlin “Duck” Hodges.  It was their first time appearing together, so she joked that if she won, maybe they should shake hands instead.

Jordan Davis just posted a hilarious video on Instagram with the caption, “People:  What’s backstage like?  You guys must have the craziest parties at your shows every night . . . Us:  You ever heard of Mario Kart?” The video starts with him on the phone with Pat McAfee, who asks, “So you guys play a lot?”  And then Jordan says, “When the bus is rolling, we’re usually playing Mario Kart.” And then the rest of the video is just a couple of adult males, living their best lives . . . Playing Mario Kart, and talking trash to their friends.

Luke Combs was really bummed out when he heard that Tom Petty didn’t really like Country music. Tom told “Rolling Stone” in 2013, “I hate to generalize on a whole genre of music, but it does seem to be missing that element that it used to have.  I’m sure there are people playing country that are doing it well, but they’re just not getting the attention the [crappier] stuff gets.” Tom probably was talking about the “Bro Country” phase. But those words still bothered Luke. He said, “I have this thing that hurts my heart a little about Tom Petty because I know he hated Country music . . . and that hurts me.” It was pointed out that Tom Petty would be considered a Country music artist today, because the category is so broad now. But Luke still appeared on Tom’s Country cover album “Petty Country”.  Luke’s rendition of “Running Down the Drain” will serve as the anthem for all SEC football games this year.

Henry Winkler refused to let his daughter do reality TV.  Once, when a producer came to their house, he told him, quote, “I can suggest some really good restaurants, [but] my daughter is not doing your show.” One of the funniest things to come from the show was George Strait’s reaction to the performances. Someone…
