“The Breakfast Club” was voted the best high school move of all time at Ranker.com.  It’s followed by “Back to the Future” and “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”.

Morgan Wallen’s court date for three counts of felony reckless endangerment and disorderly contact has been postponed to December 12th. It was supposed to take place this Thursday, August 15th . . . but the judge granted a continuance in the case, pushing it nearly four months. The incident took place on April 7th at Eric Church’s bar on Broadway in Nashville.  Morgan threw a chair off the six-story roof and it landed close to two police officers. Morgan apologized for his actions a few weeks after the chair-throw.  But life has pretty much remained status quo for Morgan.  And fans sure are glad none of these legal issues have affected his touring schedule. He has his eight-stop European leg of the One Night at a Time tour starting at the end of this month.  And then he closes it out back home with shows in Knoxville, Tampa, and Charlotte.

The Growing Up and Getting Old tour by Luke Combs just came to an end this past weekend.  And one of his openers, Jordan Davis, had some feelings about it.  He said, “Truly hurts me to see this come to an end.” Jordan shared an Instagram post with some awesome behind-the-scenes pictures.  In the caption he had a message for Luke, quote, “I can’t thank you enough for allowing me to tag along . . . The last couple months have been unreal.” He ended the post with, “This tour is going to be hard to top.” Luke’s massive tour has been going since April and has hit up a lot of major cities and NFL stadiums. Here are some of the other special guests Luke included on his tour, besides Jordan:  Cody Johnson . . . Charles Wesley Godwin . . . Mitchell Tenpenny . . . Colby Acuff . . . The Avett Brothers, and more. Jordan has plenty more shows this year, in case you missed him.  And even though his big tour is over, Luke still has other shows booked through October.

Carly Pearce is teasing a new song about social media trolls . . . and she unleashed it on X . . . the EPICENTER OF SOCIAL MEDIA TROLLDOM. In the caption, she said, “I never post new songs, but I wrote this one last week and thought it was important.  We are more than just a social media handle.  We all have feelings, too.” The lyrics include the lines:  “Strangers hidin’ behind their screens, like I won’t read it.  Wish I could say it don’t get to me, but I believe it.  Then I hear my name and hear the music, that’s when I pretend that I ain’t human.”

The new college football season kicks off August 24th, and Jelly Roll is doing ESPN’s lead-in anthem this year. The song is called “Get By”.  ESPN used it in a teaser clip and said Jelly will “have you HYPED” this season.  There’s also a one-minute clip of the song on Jelly’s YouTube page.
