Jelly Roll’s wife Bunnie Xo had a major health scare last week when imaging showed she might have a BRAIN ANEURYSM. She said she spent four days thinking it was a “death sentence,” because her mom had an aneurysm that ruptured. But she saw a neurosurgeon the other day, who thinks it was just a blip on the MRI. He told her she’s in the clear, but she’ll have another scan soon to confirm it’s nothing she needs to worry about. She posted about it on Facebook, saying it “put so much in perspective” and made her want to “change a lot of things” in her life. “You don’t realize how much you appreciate life and the [people] in it until you feel like you could lose it and them at any moment.”
On Sunday, Dollywood Theme Park experienced crazy floods due to volatile weather in Eastern Tennessee. Guests were seen wading through waist high water and mud to escape the park. Only one minor injury was reported, but if you look at some of the pictures and videos of the flood, it’s amazing that everyone got out OK. One person tweeted, “I was at Dollywood today and it was like the Old Testament . . . Props to the Dollywood FD for leading us to our cars like The Batman.” This didn’t stop the park from opening yesterday after sustaining five inches of flash flooding the day before.
Dasha has a no-nonsense attitude and it seems like she’s quite sure of her place in Country music. She was asked, “What do you think differentiates you from other [crossover pop artists] that didn’t have success?” She said, “I think what happens in Country music is people fall into the mundane, and they see what works, and they keep doing the same thing over and over and over again. “The same cover art, the same production, the same concept for a song, and you’re just beating a dead horse.” Regarding her music, she went on to say, “I think Country needed a breath of fresh air so badly, and me coming in with who I am, and my song . . . just smacked it on the bum a little bit there.”
