Lady Gaga taught herself to sing poorly for the new Joker movie because Harley “Lee” Quinn isn’t a trained singer. She says, “There’s plenty of bum notes from Lee.”
Matt Damon’s acting advice: Don’t gain weight for a role when you’re over 40 years old.
The cast of “Friends” looks SO happy in the opening credits when they’re playing in the fountain. And there’s a reason for that. In a recent interview Lisa Kudrow said that filming those credits was a “nightmare.” She said she “doesn’t like discomfort, at all” . . . and it was a very long, late night and the water was VERY COLD. She said they’d done like “500 takes of dancing . . . unmotivated dancing” and everyone was starting to get cranky. But Matthew Perry rescued them. The crew asked for another take . . . and Matthew joked, “One more? Can’t remember a time I wasn’t in a fountain. Seriously . . . can’t remember a time I wasn’t wet. What, are we wet? In a fountain? What, are we dancing in a fountain?” Lisa said he cracked the whole cast up . . . and they just started laughing, organically, and those are the shots that appeared in the final version.
Have you seen the trend where you leave a bunch of good food in front of your dog, tell them not to eat it, and then leave the room? It’s hilarious, and most dogs fail. But not Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO’s bulldog named Chachi. He proved he was a very good boy. Bunnie said at the beginning of the video that she’s done this challenge before but used a charcuterie board. But now she wanted to test him with some foods he really loved. And Chachi must be eating good, because she put down a pretty delicious looking meal in front of him. It was a chopped-up chicken burger and some mashed potatoes. And he STILL resisted when she went away.
So, it’s pretty obvious by now that Post Malone is dominating the Country airwaves. His new song “Guy for That” with Luke Combs is out today . . . “I Had Some Help” was a smash-hit with Morgan Wallen . . . and “Pour Me a Drink” with Blake Shelton is still being played everywhere. And while a lot of people are loving Posty’s foray into Country music, there are some writers who are NOT a big fan. But with Posty’s album “F-1 Trillion” due out next month, Posty’s gonna have some serious staying power in the Country world, whether we like it or not. That all being said, have you ever seen Post Malone’s first release? If not, I assure you, you’re in for a treat. To be fair, he said it was made in “art class”, so don’t judge. But it’s pretty hard not to. Without further ado, I give you . . . Pre Malone.
“Twisters” is the #1 movie in America and might have the most star-studded SOUNDTRACK of all time. The whole thing is Country, and all 29 tracks are new. So, they didn’t just round up old stuff. 19 are original songs, two are fresh covers, and eight were, “inspired by” the film. It includes original stuff from Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, Lainey Wilson, Kane Brown, Bailey Zimmerman, Tyler Childers, Leon Bridges, Shania Twain, and two tracks by Jelly Roll. Lead actors Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones talked about it in an interview. He said he couldn’t believe the list of names, and joked it was like hearing someone list “the Avengers of Country music.”
So, should we welcome Nick Jonas, or the Jonas Brothers into the Country world. Nick Jonas just posted a teaser making it sure seem like he’s experimenting with Country music. First off, he was recording in Nashville. And secondly, he was recording with Shay Mooney of Dan + Shay fame . . . and also with Tommy English, who’s worked with Kacey Musgraves and Little Big Town in the past. On top of that, the video he posted in the studio is muted. So, no one knows what the sound will be, or if it’s even Country. But there are plenty of clues. The Jonas Brothers brought out Bailey Zimmerman for last year’s song, “Strong Enough”. And earlier this month, they tried to sing a cover of “Friends in Low Places” by Garth Brooks. Unfortunately, it didn’t go over too well.
