Back in April, a wedding band in Philadelphia called Jellyroll filed a lawsuit against Jelly Roll. They’ve been around since 1980, and they’re billed as “Philly’s favorite wedding band”. But ever since Jelly Roll came out, their Google search results have plummeted. In a court filing made this week, they announced that the lawsuit has been dropped. The lead singer of the wedding band Jelly Roll wrote, “The dispute with Jason Bradley DeFord, a.k.a. Jelly Roll, has been resolved and the legal action has been withdrawn. We look forward to our continued use of the name Jellyroll Band, in connection with our party band business.” The court documents did not disclose whether or not there was a settlement that was reached,
Miranda Lambert’s new song “Dammit Randy” is great, but a lot of people are wondering who it’s about. Well Miranda said “we wrote it about anybody that we’re like . . .” And then she lifts up her middle finger. (!!!) So if you ever tick Miranda off, you’re getting a “Dammit Randy”. (The best comment on the post is from RANDY Houser, who said, “WTF did I do? Dammit.”)
Lil Nas X spent years thinking “Old Town Road” kinda SUCKED because of all the haters who dissed the song online. He posted a TikTok where he dances to the Billy Ray Cyrus version. The caption says, “Me suddenly realizing I spent five years thinking my own song was cringe, because ugly losers who will never make anything as great and game-changing as [“Old Town Road”] got into my head.” Columbia released it as a single just over five years ago in March of 2019, and the Billy Ray version came out that April.
