1. George Strait: George served in the Army from 1971-1975. He was stationed in Hawaii and ended his career as a Corporal.
2. Kris Kristofferson: Kris served in the Army from 1967-1975. He is a former Army Ranger Captain and helicopter pilot.
3. Craig Morgan: Craig served in the Army from 1982-1997. And then last year he announced onstage at the Grand Ole Opry that he re-enlisted in the Army Reserve.
4. Johnny Cash: Johnny served in the Air Force as a Morse Code Intercept Operator during the Korean War. When he was stationed in Germany he wrote “Folsom County Blues”.
5. Zach Bryan: Zach joined the Navy at 17 and served for eight years. He says, “If it was my decision, I would have never gotten out of the world’s greatest Navy . . . But they kindly, honorably discharged me to go play some music.”
Dolly Parton estimates that she has written close to three THOUSAND songs in her life. But what was the first one? She was interviewed by “Wired” and said, quote, “Well, the first song was actually before I started writing, before I could even write it down. I was about five years old. “I had a little cobb-doll that mama made me, and I named her Tiny Tasseltop, ’cause she had corn tassels for hair. “So I wrote a little song, [it goes], ‘Little Tiny Tasseltop, I love you an awful lot . . . Miranda Lambert loves her fans. She proved it once again at her show in Minnesota last week when she spotted a young girl and called her up on stage. Miranda told the crowd, “The cutest little cowgirl is wearing her hot pink boots, and I just gotta hug her. What’s your name?” That’s when the young fan surprised everyone when she said her name is ALSO Miranda. As it turns out, the little cowgirl was named AFTER her. The little girl’s mom later posted on Instagram and said, “This momma is speechless and sobbing. I could have only ever imagined for her to meet the woman who has inspired me so much. I will never forget this memory.”
Jelly Roll and his wife Bunnie XO are trying for a child through IVF and surrogacy. Someone commented on Bunnie’s post, “To each their own, I would think carrying the child is so much more of the natural experience of motherhood.” And added that it would “affect that perfect body of yours.” Bunnie screenshot it to share with fans how these types of comments can be hurtful. She said, “This is so gross. You guys think I don’t want to carry because of my body . . . I’m scared because I’ve had two ectopic pregnancies and miscarriages, and at my age, I do not want to go through that again . . .”Please watch how you say things to people on the internet.
