Struggle Jennings is playing the Grand Ole Opry for the first time this week.  And Jelly Roll got to give him the good news.  He’s Waylon’s step-grandson, and he’s been big in the Nashville rap scene for a long time. Struggle and Jelly have been good friends for over two decades.  He posted a video this weekend of Jelly telling him and tearing up.  Struggle said when he saw Jelly crying, he thought someone DIED.  So, it caught him off guard. He’s doing two shows alongside Jelly, Cody Johnson, and others this Wednesday as part of the Opry’s CMA Fest celebration

Back in 2018, comedian Tom Segura branded Garth Brooks a SERIAL KILLER, based on a video he posted promoting an upcoming tour.  And unfortunately, that joke continues to haunt Garth to this day. People still hound him about it on social media, and Tom says sources have told him Garth doesn’t get it, and he’s kind of annoyed with it.  He’s even BLOCKED Tom. Well, Tom dug the knife in a little deeper by hitting up a bar just a block from Garth’s new joint, Friends in Low Places.  He even got onstage and sang . . . you guessed it . . . “Friends in Low Places”.

In case you haven’t heard, Beyoncé changed the lyrics in her version of “Jolene”.  Well, it was a surprise even to Dolly Parton.  Dolly says it was, “very bold of her”, but she loves what she did to it. “As a songwriter, you love the fact that people do your songs no matter how they do them . . .”She wasn’t gonna go beg some other woman like I did.  I would have loved to have heard how she would have done it in its original way.  But of course, you know, it’s Beyoncé, her life is different than mine.”

Here are a few more Good News stories making the rounds . . .

Her name is Carissa Fisher.  She got tested but didn’t tell his foster parents until she found out she was a perfect match.  She showed up at their door last week, and it’s on video.  The surgery is set for later this summer.

2.  A woman in Arkansas gave birth in the bathroom of a Golden Corral and didn’t even know she was pregnant.  She and her son Tamaar are both doing great.  Golden Corral posted a photo and joked he’s their youngest fan ever.

3.  A couple in Orlando was planning to get married last month right before their first baby was due.  But their son came early at just 33 weeks. So the nursing staff found a chaplain last-second . . . made a veil out of gauze . . . and held a wedding right there in the hospital.  Their son Reggie was born three hours later.
