Remember the last time Morgan Wallen was in Nashville and threw a chair off a bar roof. Well his bar in downtown Nashville is set to open this weekend for Memorial Day. There was one small snag. The owners had wanted to put up a 20-foot neon sign with Morgan’s name on it, but that plan was defeated by the Nashville City Council on a vote of 30-3. There is already a sign on the building. This would have been a second, larger sign.
Luke Combs was asked about a rumor that he brings a PGA Tour player on the road with him for lessons. Truth is he regularly flies in a “PGA PRO” for lessons. One of Luke’s bandmates is good friends with a club pro at a course in Boston. So they fly him in on weekends to play a few rounds.
Reba McEntire surprised Lainey Wilson on “The Voice” with an invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry. And Lainey shouted out, “Holy moly!” And then said, “[My family] took me to Nashville when I was 9 years old and we went to the Grand Ole Opry . . . I knew that I wanted to play there”. Lainey will be inducted on June 7th
