A new”Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” movie called “The Last Ronin” is in the works, and it’ll be Rated R.

Jon Bon Jovi is still recovering from his vocal cord surgery from two years ago.  He says he’s more than capable of singing again though

The ACM Awards Nominations were announced this week and Luke Combs led the field with 8 total.  But on the flipside, there were a few shocking snubs . . .

1.  Nate Smith’s song “World on Fire” was not nominated for Single of the Year.  This song spent TEN weeks at number one.  Some of those weeks were beyond the eligibility, but still this song rocks and should’ve been nominated.

2.  Chris Stapleton’s song “White Horse” was not nominated for anything.  This is Chris’s fastest-rising radio hit and it won two Grammys.  No love from the ACM voters though.

3.  Bailey Zimmerman didn’t get any love either.  He was up for the New Male category last year, but this year . . . nothing.

4.  Carly Pearce not being a top five female artist is pretty shocking.  Also, her collab with Chris Stapleton on “We Don’t Fight Anymore” not being nominated for Vocal Event is a pretty big snub too.

5.  Warren Zeiders wasn’t nominated for New Male Artist when he just won the same award at the CMTs.  Those that were nominated over him are Ernest . . . Kameron Marlowe . . . Dylan Scott . . . Conner Smith . . . and Nate Smith.

If you didn’t know, Jelly Roll is a guest mentor on this season of “American Idol”.  And a recent performance by a contestant named Mia Matthews brought him to tears. The song she chose was “Daddy’s Hands” by Holly Dunn as an homage to her late father.   They were filming in Hawaii and Mia mentioned that her dad was Hawaiian, but he died before he was able to show Mia his hometown. This hit Jelly pretty hard because as soon as she started rehearsing the song, he started crying.  When Mia finished, Jelly said, “I lost my father in 2019.  So brave of you to pick that song.” And in reference to his own dad passing, Jelly said, “It’s probably the single hardest experience I ever had.”  Then they both shared a hug and cried some more. He then joked, “Thanks for making me cry.  I hate you.”  This made both of them laugh and then they hugged and said they loved each other.  It was a really sweet moment.

Ryan Gosling hosts “SNL” this weekend, with Chris Stapleton stepping in as musical guest again.  It’s Chris’s third stint.  His last was in 2018. It sounds like Ryan’s a big fan, or he at least plays one on TV.  The first promo has him standing outside Chris’s dressing room hoping for an autograph.  Turns out Chris isn’t there, but his hat is.

Chris Young was performing at Chilifest in Snook, Texas when a fan threw a beer at him.  And he went OFF. He said, quote, “If you can’t fight me in the parking lot and I’m 6-foot-4 and 255, stop throwing [stuff].  I’ll hop off the damn stage right now and piss everybody off in here.” Security booted the guy, and Chris told them, quote, “Hey get that [A-hole’s] name because I don’t want him to ever come to one of my [effing] shows ever again.”
