As you probably know, Bruce Willis was diagnosed with aphasia almost two years ago, and dementia a year ago. His ex-wife Demi Moore helps care for him along with his current wife Emma Heming, and she has some helpful advice for families of someone with dementia. Demi says, quote, “I think the most important thing I could share is just to meet them where they’re at . . .”When you let go of who they’ve been or who you think, or even who you would like them to be, you can then really stay in the present and take in the joy and the love that is present and there for all that they are, not all that they’re not.”
A list of active country stars who have NOT released an album in 5 years or more.
1. Faith Hill . . . Her last major album was, “Fireflies” in 2005. She released a Christmas album in 2008 and a CD of duets with her husband in 2017. There has been chatter of her releasing new music, but nothing to show for it yet.
2. Brooks and Dunn . . . Their last studio album was, “Cowboy Town” in 2007. They did release “Reboot” in 2019, but that was just some hits recorded with other artists. They are still actively touring, so maybe new music is out there?
3. Emmylou Harris . . . Her last album was “Hard Bargain” in 2011, and it sounds like that was probably her last. She told “Clash” magazine that, “she might have said everything she needed to say in music.”
4. Brad Paisley . . . His last album was “Love and War” in 2017, but he has switched record companies and now says a new album will drop in 2024.
5. George Strait . . . His last album was “Honky Tonk Time Machine” in early 2019. But there’s hope for new music from the King soon, he was recently spotted in studio with Chris Stapleton, so we’re crossing our fingers and waiting.
Keith Urbanhas a new album coming in 2024 . . . FINALLY. It’ll be his first new music in two years . . . his first full-length album since 2020 . . . and we just got a sneak peek. He released two new teasers for the first SINGLE. He posted a minute-long video on Facebook, where he’s in the studio bopping his head along to it. Then he posted a clip to Instagram and revealed the title. It’s called “Straight Line”, and you won’t have to wait too much longer to hear the rest of it. We’ll get our hands on the full track when it comes out . . . TOMORROW.
Lainey Wilson is helping to reintroduce the Coors Light’s Chill Train for a Super Bowl commercial. She says filming her cameo was fun with frosted makeup and fake snow and, quote, “My family’s going to freak out when they see me.” She also shared that her favorite Super Bowl snack is bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers and that if she has to root for someone, it’ll be the Chiefs because Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce went to one of her shows last summer.
