Walker Hayes has had his fair share of ups and downs.  Now we’ll get to see it all play out on the small screen:  A new TV SERIES based on his life is in the works. It got announced last Friday, and he’s set to executive produce.  It doesn’t sound like he’ll star in it, but they didn’t really get into that.  All we know is it’s a drama. If you’re not familiar with his story, he battled the bottle but stayed married to his high-school sweetheart . . . had some minor hits . . . and then boom, “Fancy Like” hit big.  The viral video of him dancing with his daughter definitely helped. The production company said in a statement that his, quote, “powerful story is one that is inspirational, heartfelt, and harrowing – showcasing the tenacity of the human spirit.” Walker also put out a statement, saying he and his wife Laney have had a “wild life and love story.” “We reflect all the time together, wondering how in the world we got here.  The amount of brokenness versus beautiful lends itself to endless amounts of stories to explore.” It’s early stages, so no word yet on when it might premiere.

On Saturday, Maren Morris was honored with the “Changemaker Award” by “Variety” . . . and in her acceptance speech, she praised the “brave” female musicians who aren’t afraid to speak out, even when it’s unpopular. She name-checked a few . . . Taylor Swift, The Chicks, Sinead O’Connor, and Billie Holiday . . . and said, “They were all told not to bite the hand.  They were all told to shut up and sing.” But Maren says they taught her that, quote, “you have to be a giant pain in the [butt] to make any kind of change, because you’re criticizing and trying to dismantle a status quo and making comfortable people feel uncomfortable.”

Dolly Parton surprised everybody by wearing that Dallas Cowboys cheerleading outfit on Thanksgiving.  Even her team didn’t know about it.  He manager said, quote, “When she came out of the dressing room, myself, the security, and my staff fainted.  That’s the genius of Dolly, and people are talking about it.”

Mickey Guyton brought her almost-three-year-old to the White House, and all he wanted was cake.  She was there to host the National Christmas Tree Lighting Thursday.  The ceremony airs December 15th on CBS.
