“Saturday Night Live” announced Adam Driver as the host for the December 9th episode with musical guest Olivia Rodrigo. Kate McKinnon will make her hosting debut on the 16th with musical guest Billie Eilish.
This week, Tom Brady posted a montage on Instagram of himself hitting some golf shots on the driving range, with Morgan Wallen’s songs “Broadway Girls” and “Whiskey Friends” playing in the background. Morgan noticed it, and reposted it on his Instagram story, asking the question: “When we playing a match??” And Brady responded: “LFG,” which of course is a colorful way of saying, “let’s go!”
Carrie Underwood was asked what Christmas is like around her house. She seems to enjoy toiling in the kitchen. She cooks turkey for everyone, and tofurkey for herself. She also does cranberry sauce, and sweet potato casserole. And her family has a new tradition. Quote, “For the past few years, we all get matching PJs. My husband, myself, my sons and our dogs. And getting my German shepherd into a Christmas sweater is no easy feat.”
This Christmas will be special for Jon Pardi and his wife Summer now that they’re a family of three. Their daughter Presley was born last February. During a recent interview Jon talked about his expectations. “She will not know what the hell’s going on. She’s gonna love the lights. She’s gonna try to eat everything, but it’ll be very magical [and] I’m glad I have an album now I can play for her.”
Elle King and Entertainment Tonight‘s Rachel Smith will help Nashville ring in the new year, as they co-host CBS Presents New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash. The celebration will air live from Nashville on Sunday, Dec. 31. The special will feature nearly 50 performances, including from Lainey Wilson, as well as Thomas Rhett, Lynyrd Skynyrd and more. The five-hour broadcast will cross multiple time zones, with the traditional countdown at midnight ET, culminating with the Nashville music note drop and fireworks at midnight CT. Elle also joins the performance lineup this year.
Sam Hunt just signed off on a big new publishing deal with a group called “CTM Outsider”, which will give them the rights to his entire catalog, including his FUTURE work. There’s no word how much Sam scored.
Darius Rucker will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this Monday. His guest speakers have yet to be announced, but his ceremony will be live-streamed for fans to watch.
