The “Friends” cast issued a joint statement after Matthew Perry’s death. Yesterday, Matt LeBlanc and Courteney Cox each posted their own tributes on Instagram. LeBlanc posted several pictures and said, “It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life. It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I’ll never forget you. Never. Spread your wings and fly brother. You’re finally free. Much love. And I guess you’re keeping the 20 bucks you owe me.” Courteney posted a behind-the-scenes video from when they filmed the scene where Monica and Chandler sleep together for the first time. Matthew had given her a funny line to say, just to make the audience laugh. She said, “He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind. I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day.” Michael J. Fox revealed “When [the “Friends” cast] first made their big sale [on their contracts] and were made millionaires for the rest of their lives, he wrote a big fat check to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
Cody Johnson is all tatted up. Including one tattoo that’s in on the bottom of his FOOT. He said he’s never seen Jelly Roll with his shirt off so he’s not sure if he has more tattoos than Jelly. Then he started listing all the places he has them. What’s the tattoo, and WHY? Alcohol. He had his tattoo artist on tour with him, and asked if there was any body part he’d never done a tattoo on before. Turned out he’d never tattooed the bottom of someone’s foot. So Cody went for it. He says it tickled a little, but it wasn’t too bad. The alcohol probably helped. It was inspired by his favorite Waylon Jennings song, “I’ve Always Been Crazy”. Specifically, the lyric, “I’ve always been different, with one foot over the line. “The tattoo is the number “1” . . . then an apostrophe for the word “foot” . . . and it’s underlined. So, “1 foot” over a line.
Mark Chesnutt has been canceling shows, and he’s finally opening up a little about what’s going on. In a Facebook post, he said, “I’ve been struggling with a battle that I’ve fought to overcome for many years on my own. Now after some extreme health issues I’ve recently experienced, the time has come. The fight is over.” Mark makes it sound like he’s DYING, but he’s probably just being a little dramatic. He also said that he’s decided to pull the plug on touring so that he can “take the time to get healthy” so that he can return to the road in February.
