Michael J. Fox might be one of the most badass people on the planet. He’s still plugging along despite the physical toll Parkinson’s disease is taking on his body. In recent years he has broken both arms and one shoulder, his orbital bone and cheek, and one of his hands . . . which he then almost lost to infection. Still, he’s not worried about what the future holds. Quote, “One day I’ll run out of gas. One day I’ll just say, ‘It’s not going to happen. I’m not going out today.’ “If that comes, I’ll allow myself that. I’m 62 years old. Certainly, if I were to pass away tomorrow, it would be premature, but it wouldn’t be unheard of. And so, no, I don’t fear that.”

When the question was put to Brad Paisley, he named “The Medicine Will”. “Sometimes you write something that’s more important than you know as a writer. And I am amazed that what we wrote is something that works as a song, because it’s more of a ‘Nightline’ report. “So, it’s been exciting to believe so much in these things and know that I’m gonna get a little flack, and I’m ready for that when it comes.” The song takes a hard look at what the opioid crisis has done to America, and Brad’s home state of Wes
If you haven’t heard, Jelly Roll partnered with Hasbro and Coca-Cola for a big holiday toy drive this year. He announced it last month and predicted it would be the “biggest partnered toy drive in Nashville history.” Eight Walmarts around Nashville are in on it. Since then, he’s been doing surprise concerts outside different Walmart stores to bring people in. The price of admission is to donate a toy. He did another surprise show on Saturday at a Walmart in Antioch, Tennessee, just outside the city. He even got the mayor of Nashville to show up for this one. Antioch is Jelly’s hometown, and he noted that he grew up about three minutes away from where he was standing. It’s not clear how many more shows he’s got planned, but the toy drive runs through December 15th. All the toys will be handed out by the Nashville Fire Department and Metro Police.
