Darius Rucker’s new album “Carolyn’s Boy” is out today. It’s inspired by his late mom who raised six kids on her OWN. Even worse, his dad lived down the street, but was never around. “It was tough growing up without a dad. I hated it. I don’t ever want my kids to not know where their dad is or how they can get in touch with him, because I never knew how to get in touch with mine.” Even though Darius and his wife Beth consciously uncoupled three-and-a-half years ago, he is NOT going to be like his dad. He and his wife have remained “close friends and parenting partners.” “We’re still a family. A piece of paper won’t change that. We’re still a family, and that’s because Beth is awesome. She knows it’s the best for the kids, and she’s a great human being.”
