Garth Brooks was on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” yesterday playing a game of Rockstar Roulette. When it landed on Aerosmith, Kelly admitted having a crush on Steven Tyler. That’s when Garth said, “I showered with him.” It took a moment for Kelly to collect herself, and then Garth added. Quote, “They have the baseball showers. I’m in there showering, getting ready for the show, with soap in my eyes, I look around, and there’s Steven Tyler showering too. “[I’m like] ‘Hey, how you doin’, Steven?’ How many people get to say that?” Kelly had the perfect comeback. Quote, “Well, who knows. It’s rock and roll. You might not be so special, Garth.” They also talked about Garth adding 18 new dates to his Vegas residency. They’re all in 2024. Jimmie Allen issued an open apology to his wife Lex yesterday, one week after his former manager filed a lawsuit accusing him of rape. Lex is currently pregnant with their third child. She filed for divorce weeks before the allegations were made public, but it’s pretty obvious that’s why. Jimmie is denying them, but admits he did cheat. He posted the apology on Instagram: Quote, “I want to publicly apologize to my wife Alexis for humiliating her with my affair. I’m embarrassed that my choices have brought shame on her. That’s something that she did not deserve at all.” He went on to say, “I also want to apologize to my children for being a poor example of a man and a father. I’m working on becoming a better person that my kids can be proud of. My goal is to be better than the generation before me.” After that, it talks about how the music business is, quote, “full of temptations that can cripple you,” and how he’s ashamed he “wasn’t strong enough to withstand them.” You can read the full statement online.
Carrie Underwood is resuming her Vegas residency “Reflection” next month, and she’s excited to get back. But she doesn’t live it up much in Vegas. She said she’ll go to a restaurant if her husband is in town, but otherwise, she prefers just hitting up the grocery store. Carrie talked about enjoying both high-profile and low-profile living. “I go to [my boys’] baseball practice. It’s wonderfully ordinary, and I love that. In a lot of ways, I lead a double life. I’m mom at home, and then I fly away to Vegas or to go on tour.” Carrie recently celebrated 15 years as a member of the Grand Ole Opry. In an interview, she called Opry membership “one of the most important things” she’s ever done.
ABC has canceled the show “Big Sky”, which featured Reba McEntire. She joined the cast in the third season. There is talk that they may go shopping for another network, so there’s that.
Priscilla Block shared a pretty cool moment recently on Instagram. She posted photos of herself performing at a rooftop Block Party at her publishing company BMI. Seven years ago she had a cubicle job . . . in the same building.
