It’s not often that DENTAL WORK kicks off a singing career, but that’s Bailey Zimmerman’s story. It was just a few years that he was just some guy in Flora, Illinois singing to a handful of people. A local musician recognized his talent and told him he had a good voice, but there was one thing holding him back. “He was, like, ‘Dude, have you ever tried to actually sing?’ And I was like, ‘No’. He was, ‘Well, you need to take your braces off because it’s giving you a lisp when you sing, but if you do that I think you can be an artist.'” The timing was perfect because Bailey had an orthodontist appointment the next day to get the braces tightened. He told them to yank ’em out, which they fought because his teeth weren’t perfect, and his mom would be out $7,000. His answer? Quote, “I was like, ‘Don’t care, take them off. I’m done.’ A week later I wrote my first song, posted it on TikTok, and quit my job.”
Eric Church just announced the dates for his summer tour. And he’s going big . . . 27 shows in 26 cities. It’s called The Outsiders Revival Tour. He posted the schedule online and said it’s a big deal for him. It’s his first time he’s headlining his own summer outdoor amphitheater tour. He also revealed the 18 guest performers who’ll be joining him. They include Whiskey Myers, Cody Jinks, Jelly Roll, Ashley McBryde, Koe Wetzel, Lainey Wilson, Elle King, and Travis Tritt. The tour kicks off in Milwaukee on June 22nd, and he’ll finish up in Tampa, Florida on September 30th. The only venue with two shows is The Wharf Amphitheater in Orange Beach, Alabama, with back-to-back dates in August. Tickets for all 27 shows go on sale to the general public next Friday. But fan club members get early access starting next Tuesday.
Luke Combs will be releasing a new album on March 24th. Even though it has 18 songs, it seems like we’ve heard most of them because he keeps teasing tracks on social media. In fact, he just shared a new clip of “Love You Anyway”.
Thomas Rhett still wants to follow in his family’s footsteps and become a pilot someday. But don’t worry, he isn’t giving up country music for a gig with Spirit Airlines. He says he isn’t a big “attention to detail person” right now . . . and you probably need that to be a pilot. But he’s keeping the idea on the back-burner.
