It was about six years ago when when Laney Wilson decided to make that her signature look, and it definitely paid off. She says, “I was really trying to figure out what could I do to stand apart from the rest of the females in Nashville, because it’s very important to do that. And what is something that is really true to me? “For me it was the bell bottom throwback look. 2016 is when I decided, ‘alright, if I’m gonna do this, I need to wear bell bottoms and need to wear my vintage shirts and stuff like that, daily.'” A year later she got her first publishing deal. But she did raise eyebrows in Louisiana. “People back home were like, ‘Why are you wearing those britches?’ But I didn’t let it stop me. I said, ‘No, I’m gonna stand out, even if it makes me look goofy for a minute.'”
Blake Shelton’s favorite season on “The Voice” was NOT when he met his future wife, Gwen Stefani. But that was mostly because she just had a baby, and would hightail it out of there when the cameras were off. His favorite was Season Four when Danielle Bradbery and The Swon Brothers ended up in the finale. “I had won the show a couple of times and had a feeling that Daniele was gonna win and it was cool that The Swons had all that momentum. I just remember being completely wrapped-up in that season.”
Jon Pardi and his wife Summer are expecting their first child soon, a baby girl. They just revealed her name on Sunday, one day after Kane Brown and his wife threw them a baby shower. Jon and Summer posted photos from it and said they’re naming her PRESLEY Fawn Pardi. It’s not clear if Elvis inspired the Presley part, but Sunday would have been his 88th birthday.
The Chicks are doing their first-ever Las Vegas residency. It’s at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood and it begins May 3rd. They said, “We hope our fans are ready for more in 2023 because we are not done! There is a lot more to come this year.” Tickets go on sale Friday at Ticketmaster.
Garth Brooks did a surprise set at the Bluebird Café in Nashville over the weekend. It wasn’t just a random appearance . . . they were raising money for a local hospice.
Lately, we’ve been talking about Shay Mooney’s weight loss turnaround, which is great. He also shared a clip of himself with an acoustic guitar singing a little bit of Adele’s “Somebody Like You”. Wow!
