Betty White is three months away from turning 100 and her fans want to ensure her safety leading up to the milestone with increased security.  One fan on Twitter posted, “Please provide her with national security protection and wrap her safely in bubble wrap.”  Another said, “I have been informed that Betty White is turning 100 in January. We’re all getting the day off as a national holiday I resume.”

95-year-old QUEEN ELIZABETH has been advised by doctors to give up her nightly cocktail, and she’s not happy.  A source says, “It seems a trifle unfair that at this stage in her life she’s having to give up one of very few pleasures.”

Here’s what he wrote on Facebook:  “Due to needing extended recovery time for recent back surgery, [I] will be taking the rest of 2021 off and will return to the road at the beginning of 2022.”

DARRYL WORLEY will be one of the recipients of the Charlie Daniels Patriot Award.  He says, “[This] is one of the greatest honors that could ever come my way.  It’s total confirmation that my service to the men and women of the U.S. military is righteous and good.”  The ceremony is October 27th in Nashville.

It was 34 years ago that RANDY TRAVIS released the song, “No Place Like Home”.  He also recorded a video for it . . . but it got shelved for some reason.  Well, on Wednesday he finally released a digitally-enhanced remastered version of it.

Former president Bill Clinton has been hospitalized at a medical center in California for a non-COVID-related infection. He is on the mend, in good spirits, and is incredibly thankful to doctors, nurses, and staff providing him with excellent care. The 75-year-old has been “administered IV antibiotics and fluids” as part of his treatment for the infection. He remains at the hospital for continuous monitoring. After 2 days of treatment, his white blood cell count is trending down and he is responding to antibiotics well.

Earlier this week we found out KACEY MUSGRAVES’ “Star-Crossed” is NOT eligible for Country Album of the Year at the Grammys. Now, Kacey hit up Twitter with a photo of herself as a kid.  She’s wearing a Western shirt and a red cowboy hat, and the caption has modified lyrics from her song, “Dime Store Cowgirl”.  “You can take the girl out of the country (genre) but you can’t take the country out of the girl.”  She also mocked them on her Instagram Story.  It starts with that red cowboy hat photo, and then it flips to pics and videos of herself with one country legend after another, including . . .Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, Ronnie Milsap, George Strait, Pam Tillis, Reba McEntire, Alan Jackson, Kris Kristofferson, Lee Ann Womack, and Brooks & Dunn. The Story ends with a photo of herself on stage shooting a double-finger salute, if you know what I mean.
