Imagine going to work and the next thing you know George Strait is at your drive-thru wanting a hamburger. This happened recently to a woman named Becky Gonzalez at a Dairy Queen outside of San Antonio, Texas. George was wearing a baseball hat and sunglasses, but it’s hard to go incognito when you’re the most recognizable man in Texas. Becky posted on TikTok about the whole encounter and said George was kind and “super handsome”. She even got a selfie with George on his way out. George ordered the Hungr-Buster. That’s a quarter pound hamburger, and he had it topped with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, and mustard.
Luke Combs is on the verge of putting out new music that he’s really excited about. He recently previewed two of the songs at his new bar in Nashville. But before he began, he told the crowd, “This might be really bad man. I was messing with this in the green room and it’s hard to kind of sing it . . . I’ll just play a little verse [and] chorus. See what you think of it.” And then the songs sounded awesome. For his next album, Luke has said he has around 50 songs to choose from. And now all he has to do is “whittle it down.”
Jelly Roll is the first-ever artist in residence at “American Idol”. He’s been a great influence on these singers already. But one contestant, named Jamal Roberts, totally floored Jelly when he sang his song “Liar” at the Top 24 performances. Jelly was in the audience and was loving every minute of it. Afterwards he said, “I would feel disrespectful to call this my song at this moment. It is now Jamal’s song.” Judges Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan also had nothing but good things to say about Jamal’s performance.
