The phrase “Get me to God’s Country” is sweeping the nation after Morgan Wallen’s abrupt exit off the stage during the “SNL” credits this past weekend. Maybe it’s because Lorne Michaels snubbed him?  Or maybe he just hated it there.  And even though a lip reader just came out and said that Morgan was being supportive in his final moments on stage . . . the optics are still bad. But his decision to caption “Get me to God’s Country” next to a picture of his private jet has been the gift that keeps on giving.  It’s gotten so good that Morgan is now offering merch with the phrase on it. And here are the best memes that have been posted so far:

1.  The first says “Get me to God’s Country” and then it’s just a picture of a nice Chili’s.

2.  The next one is some pictures of an old Blockbuster video store.

3.  There’s also a Taco Bell Cantina on the beach . . . an Arby’s sign advertising a $6.99 surf & turf special . . . and a Bucee’s.

4.  And then someone who picked up on the theme posted a very unattractive photo of a bunch of gas stations and fast food places jammed together.

To celebrate this moment in pop culture history, Morgan teased a new song yesterday.  It’s called, “Come Back as a Redneck”.

The Newport Folk Festival has announced Luke Combs, as one of the performers. It’s gotta be cool for Luke, playing at such a historic music festival, and to have a chance to have his music heard by a whole new crowd.  A lot of fans are saying they’re excited to hear him play . . . and some others are like, “Whaaa?” The Newport Folk Festival takes place July 25th to 27th in Newport, Rhode Island.  Luke will take the stage on Saturday the 26th.

Keith Urban was performing at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville last week, when he noticed a female fan who had a sign that said, “I beat cancer to hug Keith Urban.”  And Keith went into the crowd . . . hugged the fan . . . and even paused so that they could take a photo together.  The crowd cheered . . . but also stayed out of the way so that the fan could have her moment with Keith. The concert was a charity event for Susan G. Komen’s breast cancer research efforts.  A number of breast cancer warriors were in the audience, and the benefit raised $700,000 for cancer research.

A diamond-and-denim outfit Britney Spears wore in 2001 sold for $78,000.

Jordan Davis announced his new Ain’t Enough Road Tour with some help from Peyton Manning. They did a video where Jordan tries to be a professional golfer.  But it doesn’t go well, and he decides it’s “not the tour” for him.  Peyton does commentary on it. The tour kicks off September 11th.  Fan club members can snag tickets starting today.  Tickets for the general public open up Friday morning.
