Tim McGraw is exiting his Netflix bull riding show and he will no longer star in the project. The untitled show was announced back in May, and Tim was attached to executive produce and star.  But now sources are saying that he needs to undergo back surgery, which will require major recovery time. This is coming off orthopedic surgeries on both of his knees in August, which forced Tim to cancel the rest of his 2024 dates. Obviously, the bull riding character on the Netflix show was physically demanding, so Tim is stepping away . . . and hoping the part will be recast. There’s no word from any of the show’s reps as to whether the show will continue on.

Morgan Wallen announced the I’m the Problem Tour, and brand-new album, called “I’m the Problem”.  The announcement came with drama, as Swifties online are now outraged over him stealing a lyric from Taylor’s song “Anti-Hero”. To be fair, Taylor doesn’t own that phrase, so Morgan can do whatever he wants . . . but it has caused some people to get in a tizzy. One fan said, “It’s so odd that Wallen names a tour after a mega-hit by Taylor (‘Anti-Hero’).  It won every award on earth for a song and a video.  Lazy Wallen.”

Whataburger just announced that their new brand ambassador is Lainey Wilson. The President and CEO of Whataburger said:  “Lainey Wilson embodies all that we love about our brand.  She is genuine, daring, and dedicated to delivering unforgettable experiences to fans.”  Lainey said, “I’ve been rolling through Whataburger drive-thrus since I was just a small-town girl in Louisiana with big dreams.  From grabbing Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits with my daddy between horse sales and rodeos to late-night stops on the road playing honky-tonks.” So, it makes sense that Whataburger’s first promotion with Lainey is to offer up a free Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit.  The deal takes place at participating locations TOMORROW.

Parker McCollum abruptly canceled his concert in Pennsylvania on Saturday evening . . . and just walked off the stage.  But he had a good reason. People at the show say he told the crowd he was sick, and he even threw up about 15 minutes before it started.  He told everyone he was going to try to tough it out, but it was obvious “he didn’t feel well” . . . and at one point, he decided he couldn’t do it anymore. He said, “I apologize sincerely, I’m going to call the show . . . I’ll give each and every single one of y’all your money back . . . I’ve never done this in all the years I’ve been singing country music . . . I hope you guys will forgive us.”

Billy Ray’s son Trace spoke out last week after Billy’s rough performance at a Trump inauguration event in D.C.  Trace posted an open letter, said his dad’s “not healthy,” and suggested it might be a substance thing. This weekend:  Trace posted again and said Billy told a family member he’s planning to sue him.  He claimed his dad said he’s “taking legal action” just for, “encouraging him to get help.” In another post, Trace added, “I will always love you, but I no longer respect you as a man.”  Trace’s younger brother Braison spoke out too, and had a very different take.  He announced he’s producing his dad’s next album, landing sometime this summer.  He described Billy as “happy, healthy, and ready to make this record.”

Mark Wahlberg’s “Flight Risk” had a $12 million opening.  Not much, but it was enough to win the weekend box office.
