Morgan Wallen posted a photo of himself in the studio on his Instagram stories with the caption “Locked In”. And now the Internet is begging for him to drop new music. Given that it’s been almost two years since he released his last album, “One Thing at a Time”, most people are guessing a new one should be on the way this spring. Over the new year, Morgan released a new song called, “Smile”. And he teased an unnamed new song on his socials a couple weeks ago, too. And, on top of all that new excitement . . . his past work is still getting more acclaim, too. It was just announced that “Dangerous: The Double Album” was ranked as the #1 album of the 21st century. It became the first album to spend its first 10 weeks on top of the Billboard 200 since Whitney Houston’s album “Whitney” in 1987. So, it seems like whenever he wants to release his new album, it’s going to do pretty well. We’re ready when you are, Morgan.
Shaboozey was supposed to make his Opry debut on Friday in honor of Dolly Parton’s 79th birthday. But his debut is being rescheduled. Unfortunately, the wildfires in California forced him to evacuate his home, and postpone his long-awaited Opry debut. The Grand Ole Opry posted on Twitter, “Our thoughts are with Shaboozey, Los Angeles, and the surrounding communities during this time.” Opry’s Dolly birthday event will still continue, but Shaboozey’s debut will have to wait for another day.
Cody Johnson’s annual golf tournament last month raised a whole lot of money for three important causes. It was on December 8th in Vegas, and raised just shy of $300 GRAND (!!!) The final total from the tournament and charity auction was a hair under $298,000. Some of the money will go to two programs that help kids with cancer: The Wrangler Bucking Cancer Program, and the Cowboys Who Care Foundation. The rest will go to the Different Day Foundation that helps lift up survivors of human trafficking. It’s the second year Cody’s hosted the event, and it sounds like it won’t be the last.
