Jelly Roll just sat down with his wife, Bunnie Xo, on her podcast “Dumb Blonde” . . . and opened up about his health, career, and the anxieties he has with his cell phone. In case you missed it, Jelly chucked his phone into a river in Nashville to celebrate the end of his Beautifully Broken Tour. He said he wanted to spend more time with his family without any outside interference. Here’s how he explained it, “I was getting to the point where I was getting hundreds and hundreds of texts messages a day, and I just was overwhelmed. I just could not field them all . . . and then I would feel like such a bad human for missing them.” He went on to say, “I was carrying a lot of guilt. This phone was causing me a lot of guilt . . . I realized the phone does not help me be any of the stuff I actually want to be.” In that same interview Jelly also talked about a new goal he has set for himself. He wants to be on the cover of “Men’s Health”, by March of 2026. I think less phones, and more fitness is a good mantra for everyone. Good thinking, Jelly.
Keith Urban is 57 now . . . so he’s getting to the age when he’ll probably be forgetting his lyrics from time to time. And it’s already happened enough that he has a PLAN for that. Keith was on Jennifer Hudson’s talk show last week . . . and he explained that when the words escape him while he’s singing, he pretends there’s a problem with the microphone . . . so it sounds like the mic is cutting in and out. He said he’s SO good at it, that one of his roadies actually ran to get a replacement once, thinking this one was glitching out.
Garth Brooks’ request to have his sex assault case dismissed got denied. So, it’s not going away, at least for now. Garth’s former hair and makeup artist filed the suit in October. She claims he exposed himself, and was less-than-professional in other ways too. A federal judge nixed his request to toss the case pending the outcome of a separate lawsuit Garth filed. He’s accusing her of defamation and extortion. The request was denied “without prejudice,” which means he can still ask for it to be dismissed again at a later date. But not until the defamation case is worked out.
