The 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony took place Saturday night. Jelly Roll hit the stage to honor inductee Ozzy Osbourne with a rendition of “Mama, I’m Coming Home”. Before Jelly’s performance he Tweeted how grateful he was for the opportunity. “These are the moments I never even dreamed of. I remember listening to ‘No More Tears’ in our living room with the whole family. CRAZY I was a kid. “Thank you God for another undeserved opportunity.” Others among the new class include Cher, Peter Frampton, Foreigner, A Tribe Called Quest, and Mary J. Blig
Lainey Wilson does a regular thing called “Cowgirl of the Night”, where she brings a young fan up onstage. And Friday’s edition at her show in Raleigh, North Carolina was even more fun than usual. The girl’s name was Savannah. Lainey picked her out of the crowd when she saw her sign that said her dad promised to get her a horse trailer if she made it onstage. She had a TON of energy . . . talked about how she loves her dad for “[raising] her up as a farmer” . . . and tried to give Lainey her PHONE NUMBER directly into the microphone. They both started yelling, “You’re my best friend” at each other. Then Savannah listed the first three digits before Lainey stopped her. She had her write it down instead. Lainey called her a “go-getter” and predicted she’ll do great things someday. And yes, it sounds like she’s getting the horse trailer.
Ringo Starr is making his return to Country with his next album, “Look Up”. It’s coming out January 10th. He released the album’s first single, “Time On My Hands”. Ringo’s first dabble in Country was with 1970’s “Beaucoups of Blues”.
If you’ve watched Kelsea Ballerini’s video for her latest single, “First Rodeo”, you probably noticed a familiar face . . . her boyfriend Chase Stokes from “Outer Banks”. Chase says it was a “no brainer” to be in it because it’s about their love story. They’ve been dating since January of 2023.
