Luke Combs and Eric Church just announced a benefit concert for the victims of Hurricane Helene.  It’s called “Concert for Carolina” and it will take place Saturday, October 26th at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. Billy Strings and James Taylor will also be performing.  And all for a good cause. All proceeds from the concert will be split evenly between Luke and Eric.  Luke’s funds are earmarked for groups like Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank, and Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina. And Eric’s money raised will go to his charity, Chief Cares, and it will also be distributed to organizations that directly help those impacted by the storm. Tickets go on sale Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m.

Who do you think the most in-demand Country artist right now is?  Jelly Roll, Morgan Wallen, or Post Malone.  Entertainment-Focus.com says it’s not a guy at all . . . It’s Lainey Wilson.  She is the reigning CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year . . . on the TV show “Yellowstone” . . . and since 2020, she has done 15 duets or collaborations with other artists. So, not only is she killing it all by herself, but a lot of other singers are wanting to duet with her, because she’s such a hot commodity.  They do point out that Post Malone just made an album with all kinds of collaborations on it, but as far as who’s on the widest range of different albums . . . It’s Lainey winning by a mile.

Ever since Kris Kristofferson passed away on September 28th, the Country world has been sending their love.  And it seems like the rest of the world has been falling in love with Kris’ music all over again, too. The week before his passing, Kris’ discography had a total of 79,000 streams. After his passing, it went up to nearly 1.9 MILLION streams. It’s always bittersweet that artists see a bump when they pass away, but what better tribute can you pay a singer than to listen to their music over and over again. Specifically, Kris’ song, “Why Me”, which saw a 1,442% increase.  It featured backup vocals from his future wife, Rita Coolidge.  And it was his only solo chart-topper, reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot Country chart in 1973.

The Dallas Cowboys beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 20 to 17 on Sunday.  But there were no winners here . . .NBC got players from both teams to sing Carrie Underwood’s “Sunday Night Football” theme. Someone described it as “so bad, it’s good.”

“Taste of Country” recently asked Machine Gun Kelly to perform his best Jelly Roll impression, and they must have known he had one, because he had it ready to go. And there’s definitely some respect between them.  MGK saod “He’s such a good bridge connector, and I’m really kind of silent.  So, it’s nice to have a loud friend that can come in and make it less awkward for me.”

Henry Winkler refused to let his daughter do reality TV.  Once, when a producer came to their house, he told him, quote, “I can suggest some really good restaurants, [but] my daughter is not doing your show.” One of the funniest things to come from the show was George Strait’s reaction to the performances. Someone…
