Ever since Kris Kristofferson passed away this weekend, tributes have been pouring in from all over the Country music world.  Everyone from Dolly Parton, Eric Church, and Rosanne Cash sent their love.

1.  Dolly Parton said, “What a great loss.  What a great writer.  What a great actor.  What a great friend.  I will always love you.”

2.  Reba McEntire said, “What a gentleman, kind soul, and a lover of words.  I am so glad I got to meet him and be around him.  One of my favorite people.  Rest in peace, Kris.”

3.  Eric Church said, “The ultimate life well lived.  Thank you for being a beacon of light in a darkening world.  You were my hero and my role model.  And even then, you managed to exceed my expectations when you became my friend.”

4.  Darius Rucker said, “We lost one of the kindest, most beautiful souls that God gave us.  I will miss you, my friend.  I love you, Kris.  I just love you, man.”

5.  Trisha Yearwood said, “This one hurts.  The word legend gets tossed around a lot but with Kristofferson the shoe fits.  These are shoes that won’t be filled.”

6.  Martin Scorsese said, “I was lucky enough to work with Kris.  He was a poet.  Truly.  Inside and out.  And a damn good actor . . . Spending time with Kris was one of the highlights of my life.”

7.  Rosanne Cash said, “Here was a man.  A man I knew most of my life.  A piece of my heart and family history . . . Travel safe dear brother.  I will always love you.”

Peyton Manning and Luke Bryan did a pretty good job hosting the CMA Awards for the last two years.  But it seems like the producers of the show wanted to shake things up a little bit. So, why not throw Lainey Wilson into the mix, so there are three co-hosts.  Lainey is sure to bring some solid energy to this hosting gig.  And, she might even go home with the Entertainer of the Year award as well.

The nicotine pouch company, Zyn, is letting you cash in your reward points to go see a Dierks Bentley show.  One Zyn equals 15 rewards points, and the Dierks show is 3,000 points. So, all you have to do is suck down 200 of those bad boys and that concert is all yours.  And you can bring a date! The show is on October 12th though, so it’s probably too late to get started now.  But, if you’re a “Zynthusiast” and have been scanning your points this whole time, you should check your balance.

Earlier this month, Miranda took a break to travel to the Oklahoma State Fair to show her horses.  She talked about it on social media, and posted a round-up of photos.  And the horses apparently did well, taking home a BLUE RIBBON. Miranda said, “Horses are my happy place.  [And] what better way to celebrate ‘Postcards from Texas’ than doing something country AND western.”

A video of a guy smashing a guitar signed by Taylor Swift is making the rounds on social media.  He bought it at a charity auction near Dallas on Saturday. The video says he paid $3,200 for it, but another report says $4,000. Then he walked up in front of the stage and destroyed it in front of everyone. It looks like it was probably a political thing, because she’s backing Kamala.  Or he’s still VERY upset she left Country to go Pop. Or maybe because she’s with Travis
