Dolly Parton is Miley Cyrus’ godmother. Billy Ray asked Dolly when Miley was born and she happily accepted. And the two have been thick as thieves ever since. But who knew they were actually BLOOD relatives this whole time . . they just found out that they’re 7th cousins, once removed. They have a common ancestor named John Brickey, who was born in 1740 in Virginia. Dolly was doing an interview when they surprised her with the news from Ancestry.com. That’s a pretty strong musical family tree. You’ve got Dolly Parton . . . Miley Cyrus . . . and even Billy Ray, too.
Jelly Roll and his wife Bunnie Xo might be the most famous couple in all of Country music right now. And they’re both very open about their past struggles and how it wasn’t an easy road to get where they are today. Bunnie posted a teaser of a new song by Jelly the other day. Bunnie’s caption was, “He wrote me a new song.” One of the lyrics, “Woman, without you on my lips . . . I’d just be a man doing things I know I should quit.”
No one had a better announcement for his tour than Riley Green. He paid homage to “Smokey and the Bandit”, alongside Ella Langley, as they were being chased by the police just like in the movie. And “East Bound and Down” by Jerry Reed was playing in the background during the chase. The Damn Country Tour kicks off on March 27th of next year and runs through August 23rd. On his tour, he will be accompanied by Ella, and some other special guests.
