Freddie Prinze Jr. will return as Ray in an upcoming sequel to “I Know What You Did Last Summer”. Jennifer Love Hewitt is also in talks to return. The film will hit theaters next summer.
How well do you know FRIENDS trivia? Max has found a new way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of “Friends”: With a GAME SHOW. It’s called “Fast Friends”, and it’ll have fans doing puzzles and games, and answering trivia questions, on sets from the show, like Central Perk or the characters’ apartments. Production will begin next month. There’s no word yet on an air date.
Michael Bublé turned down “The Voice” at least 15 times because he said “most of the singers are better than me, and I have no place ever judging anyone.” But he finally made his debut as a coach last night.
Morgan Wallen just had a record-breaking weekend. He played in front of his Tennessee Volunteer home crowd this past Friday and Sunday for a total crowd of 156,151 people. That’s the biggest music weekend in the history of Knoxville . . . and it broke a 40-year-old record set by The Jackson 5. They saw a crowd of 148,407 people back in 1984, but it took them THREE shows to get to that number. Morgan only needed two nights. And he surprised everyone for his best walkout, yet. He had Peyton Manning in his OG Vols uniform. I mean, what’s better than that?
Back during the “ACM Awards”, a bunch of Country stars were asked “Who was the toughest act to follow in all of Country music?”The most common answer – Chris Stapleton. Thomas Rhett said “I’ve done that before. That’s not a fun gig
Bill Maher thinks America is not in a great place right now, but he has an idea of how we can all get back together . . . more Country music. He said, “Just look at the music. Maybe that’s the best analogy for where we are culturally. I used to hate Country music . . . but it changed, because the people making it changed.” And he pointed to two great examples of how Country music has evolved over the years. He said, “At this year’s Grammy Awards, Luke Combs performed a duet with Tracy Chapman and no one ran from the building. In fact, they all loved it.”
The cover art for Gwen Stefani’s new album “Bouquet” has her in a cowboy hat. The album lands November 15th. But the first single called “Somebody Else’s” hit late last week . . . and it’s NOT a Country song. She said no, “It’s NOT a Country record.” It has more of a ’70s Pop-Rock vibe. So, despite the hat . . . and the fact that she recorded the songs in Nashville . . . her fifth solo album won’t be her first Country album. It does have at least one Country aspect to it though. The last song is “Purple Irises”, her duet with hubby Blake Shelton.
When musicians say, “It isn’t easy being a performer on the road,” it feels like a set-up for a list of unrelatable “challenges.” But there are legitimate LIFE issues that come up . . . like anyone else. Ashley Cooke shared a video, where she says that she just learned that her grandma is close to passing away of liver cancer. But she has a busy schedule of shows coming up . . . and she’s torn about what she should do. She says it’s “tough” because being with her family would “help her soul heal” . . . but going ahead with the shows would “move needles for her career.”
