Blake Shelton stopped by “The Pat McAfee Show” on Friday and had some really nice things to say about Post Malone. He was asked if he thinks more people will do what Post did and try to crossover into Country music.  Blake says it’s been happening for a while, even bringing up Conway Twitty who was a Rock and Pop artist before switching to Country. “I think the reason it’s working so well for Post is, it’s not a one-off thing . . . It’s not something that he’s just trying, it’s something that he’s finally getting to do. “He’s so knowledgeable about Country music, and the writers, and the musicians . . . The first time I got to sit and talk to him about Country music, I was blown away.  He was telling me stuff that I didn’t know.” To be fair, their song, “Pour Me a Drink”, was a smash success, so Blake might be a bit obligated to speak this nicely of his duet partner. But what does Blake think about Post Malone’s future in Country music?  Quote, “I feel like Post is probably here to stay.”

Morgan Wallen did two shows at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville over the weekend.  “Knox News” posted a photo round-up of the biggest moments from the first night. One was Eric Church showing up to join him on “Quittin’ Time”.Another was Morgan announcing that his next single “Love Somebody” will be out October 18th. Hardy and Ernest opened for him.  And while we’re on the subject, something they posted the other day has fans excited too. Hardy shared a shot of the three of them at an event in New York last week, with the caption, “Got the gang back together.”  Then Ernest commented and said, “The fact that we have an album just sittin’ around, LOL.”  Fans have been speculating it means the three of them might have a JOINT album in the works.

Lainey Wilson says she was once SPIT ON . . . and not by a hater, it was someone who PAID to go to one of her shows, and it happened last year while she was on-stage performing. She said she saw it happening, and even “made eye-contact with the spit.” In an interview with “Taste of Country Nights”, she said that it landed on her . . . mid-song . . . and she just kept rollin’.  She said she did consider stopping to find out who did it, but she just moved on.
