“Saturday Night Live” will have its 50th season premiere on the 28th, and Jelly Roll was announced as the musical guest. He posted the awesome news on his Instagram and said, “The premiere of the 50th season of ‘SNL’. Be right back, going to cry for a few hours and call every family member I have. Bringing therapeutic music to my favorite show ever. God is good.” Now that he’s locked in to sing, the next question is . . . Will he perform in any skits? Because he has made it known that he wants to try acting at some point. He recently sang the “In Memoriam” segment at the Emmys and was asked if he ever wanted to act. He said: “I want to be in a TV show now so I can come here every year, dude.” Jean Smart from “Hacks” and “Designing Women” will be the host for the premiere episode.
Zach Bryan is one of the most popular artists in all of Country music, but has kind of bypassed Nashville on his way to the top. Some think that’s why he was snubbed for any major CMA Awards despite selling out stadiums across the U.S. But he was apparently drunk Tweeting and said, “The Eagles are better than the Chiefs, and Kanye is better than Taylor Swift. Who’s with me?” Well, this didn’t go over so well with the Swifties, so Zach immediately deactivated his account. But he just went on Instagram to clarify his position. (Deactivating one social media account, only to use another one right away seems a bit odd?) He wrote, “I love Taylor’s music and pray you guys know I’m human and tweet stupid things often. Twitter gets me in trouble too much and I’d say it’s best if I stay off it. I’m sorry to any Taylor fans I pissed off or let down. Love you guys and I’m trying my best.” He posted another IG story later that said, “This year has been an awful lot on me in personal ways that no one knows, and I’ve been trying to cope and balance too many things at once.”
Luke Combs just announced a full stadium tour in Australia and New Zealand starting in January . . . which makes him the first Country artist ever to do so. He will play a total of eight shows and his special guests are Jordan Davis, Mitchell Tenpenny. For his 2025 tour, he’s playing in the biggest arenas down under . . . And the capacities are between 50,000 and 83,000.
Kelsea Ballerini once said acting was a “hard no” for her . . . but she recently softened her position, especially now that she’s dating actor Chase Stokes. And now we know what her first gig is. Kelsea will appear in a new ABC medical drama called “Doctor Odyssey”. Shania Twain is also making a guest appearance.
Mark Harmon will appear on the premiere of “NCIS: Origins”.
