“Saturday Night Live” Season 50 premieres the 28th -host Jean Smart and musical guest Jelly Roll.

Gwen Stefani is releasing her fifth album, “Bouquet”, on November 15th.  No word if it’s Country, but she’s wearing a cowboy hat on the cover.  Her single “Somebody Else’s” comes out tonight at Midnight.

Dolly Parton was recently interviewed by “Variety” and she was asked whether Beyoncé was snubbed by the CMA Awards after receiving zero nominations. Dolly said, “There’s so many wonderful Country artists that, I guess the Country music field, they probably thought, well, we can’t really leave out some of the ones that spend their whole life doing that. “But it was a wonderful album.  She can be very, very proud of, and I think everybody in Country music welcomed her and thought [it] was good.  So, I don’t think it was a matter of shutting out, like doing that on purpose. “I think it was just more of what the Country charts and the Country artists were doing, that do that all the time, not just a specialty album.” To be fair, Beyoncé’s famous quote was, “This ain’t a Country album, this is a Beyoncé album.”  So, Dolly might be right.  And since Beyoncé hasn’t responded to the “snub” yet, she might not care at all that she received zero nominations.

Cody Johnson was asked if he or Jelly Roll had more tattoos.  And the fact that he didn’t know the answer right must mean Cody is hiding a LOT of tattoos that we don’t know about. He says, “I don’t know [who has more], I’ve never seen [Jelly] with his shirt off.”  He then gestured up his arm and said he goes all the way up from his wrist to his shoulder.  But then he says he has a big cross on his back too, and two on his chest, but those are not as crazy as this next one.  He said, “I even did the bottom of my foot.” One of the ladies that was interviewing him then asked, “How in the world did you do that?”  To which Cody had a simple answer . . . “Alcohol.” When they asked him if it was on his heel, he said, “It’s on the arch.”  And honestly, I can’t imagine anything more painful.  But for Cody, it was nothing . . . He said, “It actually kinda tickled.”

2025 is going to be a year of great music.  Some big Country artists just revealed info for next year’s tours. Randy Travis is headed back out on tour, beginning in January of 2025.  Since his stroke in 2013, he’s been unable to sing, but that hasn’t stopped him and his band from touring.  Luckily, they found James Dupré to step in for Randy on lead vocals. Randy said, “It’s a gift to me to spend time with my fans, and my band, as James Dupré perfectly presents the songs that best define my career.”

Lainey Wilson and Duck Hodges have been an item since 2021. Someone asked Lainey what she wants her engagement ring to look like.  And she said whatever . . . just as long as it’s BIG. She said she doesn’t care about the cut of the diamond or anything like that.  She just wants it to be so heavy, she can’t lift her hand. Duck posted a jokey reply and said, “Can someone start me a GoFundMe, please?”

Henry Winkler refused to let his daughter do reality TV.  Once, when a producer came to their house, he told him, quote, “I can suggest some really good restaurants, [but] my daughter is not doing your show.” One of the funniest things to come from the show was George Strait’s reaction to the performances. Someone…
