The People’s Choice Country Awards (PCCAs) goes down on Thursday, September 26th on NBC . . . and the first round of performers and presenters were just revealed. Here are the performers that have been announced so far: Kane Brown . . . Keith Urban . . . Kelsea Ballerini . . . Lady A . . . Miranda Lambert . . . Parker McCollum . . . and The War and Treaty. And here are some presenters that you will see as well: Carly Pearce . . . Dan + Shay . . . Little Big Town . . . and comedian Nate Bargatze. There will also be two special awards presented at the PCCAs. Miranda Lambert will receive the Country Icon award . . . and Kane Brown will get the Country Champion award. The show takes place live at the Opry, and will be hosted by Shania Twain.
Jelly Roll’s wife Bunnie Xo has a new hobby . . . and it’s pretty spooky. Jelly just did a show in El Paso, and while Bunnie had some down-time, she went to visit the Concordia Cemetery . . . which is rumored to be haunted. Bunnie posted a video wandering around the cemetery using a “Ghost Hunting” app. Every once and a while the app would make a static noise . . . and THEN a spooky robot voice would say random words like “Grandfather” and “Sacrifice”.
Haliey Welch launched her new podcast this week- talking about the Hawk Tuah Girl. The first episode of “Talk Tuah” landed on Tuesday, with Whitney Cummings as her first guest. And Haliey talked about how her life has changed since that original video went viral in June. For example, she recently flew on a plane for the first time in her life, which isn’t THAT odd at 22. But her first experience with TSA was odd . . . because she tried bringing a BOX CUTTER and TWO KNIVES on the plane. She wanted to protect herself as she ventured out into the world for the first time.Her manager found out about the box cutter and got rid of it. But she went through security with the two knives, and the TSA confiscated them. She said she also learned it’s good to wear socks to the airport. She didn’t know you have to take your shoes off.
