A list of movies that came out in 1974 and turn 50 this year includes “The Great Gatsby”, “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre”, and “Young Frankenstein”.

Queen guitarist Brian May suffered a minor stroke.  He says he’s doing okay though, and can still play guitar.

Yesterday the Songs of the Summer were announced.  And Morgan Wallen just broke a 46-year-old record by becoming the first singer since 1978 to have the #1 song of the summer in back-to-back years.  And he’s only the second artist EVER to accomplish this feat. The only other time it happened was when Andy Gibb, of Bee Gees fame, had the #1 summer song in 1977 with “I Just Want to Be Your Everything” . . . and then again in 1978 with “Shadow Dancing”. The champion this summer is “I Had Some Help” by Post Malone featuring Morgan . . . and last year it was “Last Night” that went to #1. Morgan also becomes the first singer ever to have a #1 summer song both as a featured and solo artist . . . And he is the only Country artist ever to have the Song of the Summer twice. What record will Morgan break next?

Carrie Underwood before she got famous, she worked as a gas station attendant.

1.  Kane Brown was once a FedEx delivery driver.

2.  Garth Brooks was a bouncer at a bar in his college town of Stillwater, Oklahoma.

3.  Thomas Rhett laid hardwood floors.

4.  Dierks Bentley drained the waste from houseboat bathroom tanks.

5.  Kelly Clarkson worked at Papa John’s.

6.  Jason Aldean was a Pepsi delivery truck driver.

Megan Moroney just released her latest album “Am I Okay?” in July and she’s already teasing new music.  Some people think it might be part of a deluxe album she plans on putting out. This new tune seems to be a natural follow up to her song “Third Time’s the Charm” on “Am I Okay?” . . . because the caption of her post was, “Soooo yeah the third time was in fact not the charm.” Here are some of the lyrics:  “My daddy liked you, and that was a first . . . You promised him you’d be the man I deserved . . . Oh, too good to be true . . . Oh, we were wrong about you.” There’s no title for the new song yet, and no word on when it might be released, but everyone’s definitely eager to hear more from Megan.

Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s hit “I Had Some Help” finished #1 on Billboard’s Songs of the Summer chart . . . and apparently, they may be looking to take the FALL CROWN as well. Post was just on a podcast, where he revealed that he might have ANOTHER collaboration with Morgan in the pipeline . . . if he recalls correctly.  He said, “We cut another song too . . . I think I remember doing a verse, it was one of those long nights . . . that song is awesome too.”  He added that he doesn’t know if Morgan will do anything with it or not.

If you were heading to Vegas for this next month, you got some tough news this week . . The first ever Giddy Up Music Festival went belly up instead.  It was supposed to be a three-day event from October 18th through the 20th.  Now it sounds like it might not be happening at all. The headliners were Megan Moroney, Turnpike Troubadours, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.  Chase Rice, Josh Turner, and Elle King were also set to perform. Organizers of the event posted the announcement on social media but didn’t say what happened.  They just said they’re “truly sorry” and that all tickets would be refunded in seven to 10 business days.

Jamie Foxx will address his “serious health scare” during a one man show he’s doing in Atlanta on October 3rd, 4th, and 5th.

“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” could make up to $110 million this weekend.

That purple dinosaur will return to TV screens in “Barney’s World” this October.

“Only Murders in the Building” has been renewed for a fifth season

Florida will soon be issuing “Margaritaville” license plates in honor of Jimmy Buffett, but some people don’t like the idea of mixing cars with a song about alcohol.

Dweezil Zappa is 55.

Michael Keaton is 73.  “Beetlejuice”, Batman in the Tim Burton movies and The Vulture in “Spider-Man Homecoming”.

George Lazenby is 85.  The forgotten James Bond.  His ONE movie, “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”, divided Bond fans so much, he was fired and eventually replaced by Roger Moore.

William Devane is 85.  President Heller on “24”.  He was also the flight director in “Space Cowboys”, and the president in “The Dark Knight Rises”.  Your grandparents might also know him as Greg Sumner on “Knots Landing”.

Henry Winkler refused to let his daughter do reality TV.  Once, when a producer came to their house, he told him, quote, “I can suggest some really good restaurants, [but] my daughter is not doing your show.” One of the funniest things to come from the show was George Strait’s reaction to the performances. Someone…
