Lainey Wilson was in Nashville for years before she became famous.  Here’s a story that she told Tracy Lawrence on his podcast back in 2022.  She said, “We went to this one radio station, and I had my guitar on my back . . . and we go up to [the DJ’s] room and he said, ‘You should have just left that guitar in your car.  I don’t want you to play for me.’ . . .”I’m like, ‘I’m gonna fight this man at some point.'” The DJ then played her song through his 1995 computer speakers.  “So he cranks it up . . . you can’t understand a dang word.  And then he leaned forward in his big ol’ chair and said, ‘Lainey, you’re just not good.'” He then told Lainey that he hoped she wouldn’t get all sad and start crying.  But before she left the meeting, she told him, “If anything, it just makes me want it that much worse.”

Bunnie Xo seems to have an Amazon shopping problem.  Although, that’s not much different from everyone else in the world. But her issue isn’t with small household items . . . it’s with kiddie pools.  She jokingly said, “My husband is done with me.” Jelly Roll tells her, “Mama, did you get another kiddie pool?  You know we got a nice house.  You can’t keep putting kiddie pools in the backyard.” Bunnie goes on to say that she’s making a “hillbilly cold plunge”, while they wait to get a real one put in. She then fills up the inflatable pool with ice cold water, and starts to submerge herself.  “It’s freezing . . . people do this for fun?”

Last year, Morgan Wallen released his own signature flavor of sweet tea with the brand Ryl Tea (pronounced “real”).   It has now become a staple flavor of the brand. Well, now Morgan is back in an advertisement for Ryl, and he’s joined by comedians Theo Von and Caleb Pressley. They are sitting around trying to figure out how to educate consumers on how to pronounce the brand name Ryl. Theo says, “The problem is people can’t spell the tea . . . Where I grew up, people couldn’t spell.  So I don’t mind it, but some people, I guess, have a problem with it.” The best part is how they keep cracking up and can’t keep a straight face.

Luke Bryan performed in Chicago this past weekend and all went well eventually, but one of his equipment trucks had a bit of a hard time making it to his show. The 18-wheeler was too tall to go under the overpass, and slammed into a center beam, peeling back a few feet of the trailer’s roof.  No one knows how long it was stuck like that, but a bystander was able to snap a photo of the damage. In 2017, another one of Luke’s equipment trucks struck an overpass, but that time was in New York. No one was injured in either event, but . . . maybe check the clearance height next time?
