The college football season technically began this past Saturday. This weekend the rest of the schools will kick off their Week One. And then the NFL starts games the week after that. To get you in the football spirit, here are some of the best football Country songs out there:

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is a professional actor, wrestler, businessman, father, philanthropist, and possibly an aspiring politician. But it’s cool to see him fishing and relaxing, and extra bonus points because he’s singing “That’s the Way Love Goes” by Merle Haggard. And as he gets a bite on his line, he turns to the camera and says, “That’s the way love goes.” He then pulls out a big ol’ bass.
Carrie Underwood dropped a teaser for the 2024 “Sunday Night Football” opening theme song. The official season kicks off next Thursday – first Sunday full of NFL football is on the 8th. Carrie will be there to pump us up. The 1st Sun night game, the Los Angeles Rams vs the Detroit Lions, in Detroit.
Of all the places to get into a fight with someone, a Scotty McCreery concert is probably one of the more unlikely. But at the Colorado State Fair this past weekend, Scotty had to stop his show during the first song because he witnessed a man hit a woman in the audience. Scotty said, “Hey, Hey, Hey. That’s a lady you just hit, sir . . . Absolutely not. Police, security, is she okay? On God’s green Earth at a Scotty McCreery show. What are you doing?” He then waited til security made their way over, and then told the audience in that section to, “Let the cop know who hit the lady. That’s absolutely unacceptable. Whoever you are, that’s the definition of a coward hitting a lady. Get the heck out of here, buddy.” Scotty waited until the disruptive fan was removed from the audience. Apparently, he was “taken out in cuffs and hauled away by patrol units.”
Being a parent is tough. You’re tired all of the time, and yet you’re still expected to do all of the normal adult things. So, it was only natural for Parker McCollum to still have a little bit of rust in his first live show back after becoming a dad. He was about five minutes into his set in New Mexico when he took a tumble off the bottom step of the stairs he had on stage. And he was wearing a guitar, so it did not look like it was going to end well. Miraculously, Parker lowered his shoulder and turned his fall into a judo roll, and ended up on one knee just staring at the crowd in disbelief. It was pretty graceful. Corey Kent later came out on stage and jokingly tested the stairs and said, “I gotta check this for you.”

A piece of television history could be yours … several popular props from the set of “Friends” are set to be auctioned off in honor of the sitcom’s 30th anniversary. Julien’s Auctions is hosting an exclusive event on September 23 in Los Angeles. Items in the lot include a replica of the iconic orange Central Perk couch … scripts, clothing worn by stars Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston … a Central Perk sign, Lisa Kudrow’s denim coat with faux fur … furniture from David Schwimmer’s apartment, and one of Matthew Perry’s signature sweaters. While much of the collection appears to be replicas of the real items — likely protected somewhere in the vaults of Warner Bros. Studios — there are a few notable straight-from-set pieces up for auction … including costumes worn by guest stars like Christina Applegate, Bruce Willis, Paul Rudd, Winona Ryder, and late cast member James Michael Tyler. We also expect several fans to make big bids for the teal cashmere sweater worn by Perry, who played Chandler and passed away in October at the age of 54. The auction — which will be held in collaboration with Warner Bros. — falls right after a very special date for the NBC sitcom. The entire collection is available for a peek online before bidding commences next month.
