Dolly Parton has been married to Carl Dean since May 30th, 1966. That’s 58 years! A while back, Dolly was asked if she had any words of advice for a successful marriage. She said, “Yeah. Stay gone as much as you can.” “Have respect and love for each other . . . [and] you need to be good friends, too.” Gotta love Dolly’s sense of humor, but she’s also spitting some truth here. Go do you. It’ll keep things fresh at home.
Lainey Wilson’s new album “Whirlwind” is out TODAY . . . and she’s everywhere hyping it. On social media, she teased a sassy song called “Ring Finger”, which references “Goodbye Earl” by the Chicks . . . and a breakup track called “Devil Don’t Go There”. Thomas Rhett also has new music out today.
Jelly Roll toured for years before he got famous. So, when Hotels.com asked him to sit down and talk about all of the different hotel experiences he’s had over the years, he felt more than qualified. And he shared two hacks that are pretty clever. But, the first one he did when he wasn’t even a guest of the hotel. Jelly said, “We were so broke that we would sleep in our van outside of like a Hampton Inn . . . and then when they did the continental breakfast in the morning, we’d wake up and walk in there, and we’d just walk by the desk and lie.” He would say, “Like, ‘Alright man, I’ll see you in the room in a second. I’m going to go grab a muffin.’ And then we’d all just rush into the continental breakfast and eat.” That’s brilliant . . . and probably a misdemeanor. But the next one is totally legal. Jelly said, “If you ever come into a hotel late at night, and the late-night desk person is there. That’s the person to ask for the late checkout. I’m telling you. They will put it in right there. It’s never failed.” And, knowing how late Jelly has probably rolled into some of these hotel rooms, you know he needs that extra hour of sleep.

Call this “Let It AirBnb”: Original Beatles drummer Pete Best and his younger brother have converted one of the earliest venues where the Beatles performed into a short-term rental property. The Casbah Coffee Club hosted the early Beatles nearly 40 times. There are now five AirBnB units above the club, each named after the original members of the Beatles – Lennon, Best, McCartney, Harrison and founding bassist Stuart Sutcliffe. Rooms are roughly $200 a night and each has been decorated with exclusive Beatles memorabilia, including band photos, classic posters and old instruments. Bookings have already drawn people from throughout the U.K., as well as Scotland, Canada and the U.S. There’s no suite devoted to Ringo Starr, who later replaced Pete Best
