Willie Nelson has said some hilarious things in his day, but I think this one might take the cake. It was 1987, and he was on the “Johnny Carson Show”, and they were laughing and talking about Willie’s career. That’s when Johnny asked him, “When you’re on the road, there are groupies, and rock stars have groupies, I’m sure you do.  You know, women who want more than just your autograph . . . how do you handle that?” Willie just smiled and said simply, “I try to give it to ’em.” This sent Johnny into a laughing fit, and when he finally got it back together, he said, “That’s the gentlemanly thing to do, I mean, my gosh.”

Kelsea Ballerini is taking a page out of Taylor Swift’s book . . . and she’s using it to clean up the EASTER EGG she dropped.  Kelsea just posted a TikTok where she said she has a song coming out soon . . . and the title is, quote, “something that I have worked into every interview, every conversation . . . for a while now . . . any guesses?” One person said, “Love this!  Dropping Easter eggs like Taylor Swift.”  But other fans got right to work, and suggested potential words and phrases they’ve heard her making in recent chats and interviews. Initially, Kelsea commented that no one had figured it out . . . but then she later added, quote, “A few of you sleuthed correctly.”  She didn’t say when the song will come out OR when it will be officially announced.

It was just made official that a statue of Johnny Cash will be added to the National Statuary Hall Collection in Washington DC. This is a collection that features two statues from every state highlighting their most notable residents.  Since Johnny was born in Arkansas, he will be honored for that state.  Johnny’s statue will replace the current statue of James P. Clarke, who was a former governor and senator from Arkansas.  His statue has been in the Capitol since 1921, but James is a notable supporter of white supremacy, so his bust is being removed. This even has the support from James’ great-great-grandson, who is an Arkansas state senator himself, and also thought the statue should be removed. This makes room for the Man in Black . . . And I bet that statue is gonna look real good. And who knows, maybe if the people who run our government have to see Johnny’s face every day, they’ll start making better decisions.

The Cleveland Browns tackle people for a living, so they don’t have to know how to sing . . . but you’d just think that ONE of them would be able to remain on pitch. The Browns are hosting part of their training camp in West Virginia, so it made sense that someone on their social media team wanted to see if any of the players knew the John Denver song.  “Take Me Home, Country Roads” is one of the most popular songs ever made, so it was nice to know some of the Cleveland Browns knew the words. Although . . . most of them didn’t know the words or the tune, so it turned into kinda a trainwreck.
