I think Billy Ray Cyrus had his time in the sun.  But the sun might be setting, now that everybody’s heard the audio that was leaked yesterday. And it pretty much confirms everything his ex-wife Firerose has been saying these past few months. On top of verbally abusing his then-wife, he also lays into his ex-wife Tish, calling her names and belittling the children she had in previous relationships. He then refers to either Miley or Tish as “the devil”. Although Billy’s still trying to spin this in his favor . . . In response to the leaked audio, Billy Ray wrote a response on his Instagram story yesterday. He said he was at his wit’s end and had no idea she was arrested for felony residential burglary . . . “Everything I thought I knew about her was a lie. She was trying to take over my career, my life, and usurp the Cyrus name for her own gain.”  He then ended the post with, “See you in court.”

Jason Aldean was recently interviewed and asked if he could undo a trend or technology in the industry, what would it be. He immediately said,  “Social media.  Across the board, get rid of it.” He backed it up by saying that few people use it “right” and too many people use it, “not how it was intended.”  Some people in the comments are pointing out the hypocrisy considering his wife Brittany practically lives on social media, and uses it to promote her brand.

Apparently Luke Combs’ dad was a vegetarian for many years when he was a kid.  But one day Luke had enough and bullied him into eating a steak again. To be fair, Luke lived in Asheville, North Carolina growing up, which he described as, “The San Francisco of the east coast.”  So going vegetarian was not that unusual.But one day Luke could take no more.  He said, “I was probably 13 or 14 at this time and just had enough.  I was putting my fat foot down.  So, I remember going up, and we had made this steak, and my dad was eating his, like lentil loaf or whatever he’s eating.” And Luke said, “I remember just looking at him, and I’m ‘Dad, eat this piece of steak dude. I just straight up called him out . . . and he popped a piece in and never looked back.  Definitely didn’t stick to his guns on that one.”

Sending lots of good vibes to Lauren Alaina today.  She lost her dad J.J. on Tuesday night.  No cause of death was released. She posted a statement yesterday.  “We lost my daddy last night, and I really don’t have words yet.  I want to let y’all know that I’m not able to play the three shows I had scheduled for this weekend.” Those were in Savannah, Virginia Beach, and Charlotte.  It’s not clear when they might be rescheduled. She said she was heading home to be with family, and thanked everyone for their “prayers and understanding.” She signed off with the name “Pinky”,  “When I was little, I always held his pinky.  So, when he comes to see me at my shows, he’ll stand out in the crowd and hold up his pinky.  That’s his way of telling me that he loves me.”

Miranda’s Lambert’s next album . . . “Postcards from Texas” . . . will be out on September 13th.  She released the cover art and tracklist on social media.  There’s a song with Parker McCollum called “Santa Fe”.  Miranda says, “On my last album, I was traveling.  Now, I’m home.
